mertesn Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 nLite dies while trying to apply any of the RVMUpdatePack files. I have previously been able to make these updates, but for some reason now nLite closes or crashes with no error message. nLite works fine when I'm not adding an RVMUpdatePack. I can't seem to find any program log files to post, but the session files are below.I am using nLite v1.3.5 on Windows Vista Ultimate. The hard drive is formatted in NTFS. I made sure all file permissions and ownership were correct for my user name. This is my Last session.ini from the source folder:[Main]Env = 1.3.5 - 2.0.50727.312.Microsoft Windows NT 6.0.6000.0Target = Windows XP Professional SP:2 - 5.1.2600.2180 - English (United States)[Tasks]Hotfixes and Update Packs[Components];# Compatibility #[KeepFiles]msconfig.exe[RemoveFiles]clock.aviyahoo.bmpswtchbrd.bmp[Options]ProfilesDir = "%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings"TargetPath = "WINDOWS"temp_dir = %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp[Patches][services2][Tweaks][unattended]ComputerType = DefaultMaximumDataStorePercentOfDisk = 12RestorePointLife = 30DesktopTheme = Default||AutoUDay = 5AutoUHour = 15ProgFilesPath = "\Program Files"[NetAdapter1]connname = ""macaddress = ""ipaddress = "192.168.0.1"subnetmask = "255.255.255.0"defaultgateway = ""dnsserver1 = ""dnsserver2 = ""winsserver = ""netbiossetting = "0"ipxnetworknumber = "00000000"ipxnetworkframetype = "0xFF"[GuiRunOnce][Drivers][Hotfixes]E:\os_cd_sources\updates\xp_pro_sp2\update packs\RVMUpdatePack2.1.11.7zLast session_u.ini:;; nLite private info; (don't post it on the net, it's not important for debugging)[Personal]CDKey = ""ComputerName = Organization = Language = English (United States)Locale = English (United States)Keyboard = USDomainAdmin = DomainPass = JoinDomain = JoinWorkgroup = Owner = [users]Administrator|||True|Administrators||False|True|TrueGuest|||False|Guests||True|False|FalseAny help would be most appreciated.Nick
nuhi Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I got the same report couple of times.Turned out it's one of the firewall/antivirus/protection programs. If they are uninstalled, rebotted, then it works.Which one do you have installed?

I have not installed any antivirus or firewall software.
mertesn Posted August 8, 2007 Author Posted August 8, 2007 I'll try reinstalling Vista and see what happens.
nuhi Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 mertesn, hm...weird. English Vista? Enabled full DEP (if you don't know what it is doesn't matter)? Disabled many services?
