Legolash2o
On the unatteneded page, make sure OEM preinstalled is enabled. I think it would be best to integrate all the drivers including hard drives (if you get a message during driver integration for pnp or textmode then select textmode) but we do not know what drivers are available for us to say which one it it. if you would tell me the manufacturers website then ill have alook on their Edited August 7, 2007 by legolash2o
Spiderbait
woo finally found a postThis notebook uses the Intel 943GML chipset. The drivers you need are Intel ICH7M SATA drivers and are usually run from floppy, although, I understand, they are included on the latest versions of the XP Installation CD. They are quite difficult to find but HP have them. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwar...4055&os=228 You may need a USB floppy drive to install them.hopefully this may help others many thanks too Ranibeke and legolash2o for the help Edited August 7, 2007 by Spiderbait
Legolash2o
so you are using a disk which came with the computer? install the RAID drivers if you can find them
extrabigmehdi
When i try to install Xp i get the "no disk found" error message.I already got once the problem. The error appeared just after formatting the partition ... (during XP install, off course).Perhaps the error come from my DVD drive that have difficulties to read some DVD (although I used it to burn that DVD).What I've done, is booting drom an other DVD drive, and then it seemed to work (but I'm not sure if it's not just luck). Legolash2o
make sure the DVD and DVD-Drive is clean lol, this isn't an nLite problem, also try burning it onto another disk at a slower speed and use verify too Liam
extrabigmehdi
hi make sure the DVD and DVD-Drive is clean lol,And how do I ensure that the DVD drive is clean ?Using a "DVD lens cleaner" is from what I heard the best way to mess up your DVD drive. While using a sprey with compressed air (best solution), looks too complicated for me (you have to disassemble the DVD drive,in order to clean the lens). So I just have to accept my DVD drive "as it is", unless I buy an other.
