Cant install side gadgets

For some reason when i try to install side gadgets it never appears no matter which i download..the only ones that work are the ones that came with vista.whats wrong?please help

im on vista home prem 32 bit oem


some gadgets in the live gallery didn't worked for me either.

some seem to install fine but there are no entries for them in the gadgets list. maybe its gadget developer's fault or something.

many of them don't install even if i save them to my hdd first.

i think its because of bad coding from the authors or something.
