I understand that the military is keeping samples of various TARS in JARS in preparation for future WARS when it won't be as important to have EARS as to EARN the chance to WARN others to WARD off each new WART with a WARM WORM that can WORK its way past anything you WORE even if you WOVE it yourself.Thirteen.FORM FORK DORK DARK BARK PARK PART FART FAST VAST VASE BASE CASE CAST CART DART DARE CARE FARE MARE MALE TALE SALE SOLE SOLD MOLD TOLD GOLD FOLD FOLK FILK MILK MILE MALE MATE MAZE DAZE DOZE DONE NONE NOSE POSE POLE PORE MORE SORE SURE PURE PARE RARE RACE FACE FACT TACT PACT PAST FAST CAST CASE BASE VASE VISE VISA VESA VEST BEST JEST TEST TEAT MEAT NEAT SEAT SEAR FEAR NEAR DEAR DEER BEER BEEP PEEP PEER LEER LEEK LEAK LEAP LEAN BEAN BEAD LEAD LOAD LORD CORD FORD WORD WOOD GOOD GOAD GLAD CLAD CLAP SLAP FLAP FLAT FLAX FLAY FLAB FLAK FLAW FLOW BLOW BLOT PLOT SLOT SLOP SLOB BLOB BLUB CLUB CLUE GLUE GLUG GLUM PLUM PLUG PLUS FLUS FLUX FLEX FLEE FLEE FREE FRET FRAT BRAT BRAN BRAG DRAG FRAG FRAY PRAY PREY TREY GREY GREW BREW CREW CROW BROW GROW GLOW GLOB SLOB SLAB STAB STAY STAR STAP STAG STOG STOP STEP STEW SHEW PHEW CHEW WHEW WHET WHEN THEN THAN THIN SHIN SHIP WHIP CHIP CLIP SLIP SLIM SLIT SLIK FLIK FLIP FLOP FLOG FROG FROM PROM PROD PROP PLOP FLOP GLOP GOOP GOOF GOLF WOLF ROLF ROFF RUFF RIFF RIFT GIFT SIFT SILT SILK SULK HULK BULK BALK TALK WALK WALL WILL WELL WELT BELT BOLT BOLD HOLD HOLE DOLE DOLT COLT MOLT MELT MALT MALL BALL YALL CALL FALL FAIL FOIL BOIL COIL SOIL SOUL FOUL FOWL BOWL BOWS COWS COPS TOPS HOPS POPS MOPS MODS GODS GOES DOES FOES FEES FEET LEET BEET BEAT FEAT MEAT MEAL SEAL DEAL REAL HEAL HELL BELL CELL TELL TEAL TEAM BEAM SEAM SPAM SPAT SPAN SPIN SKIN SKIS SKIP SNIP SNAP SNAG SLAG SLAY PLAY CLAY CLAM CLAN CLAW SLAW SLAT SLIT BLIT BAIT WAIT WATT WANT PANT PENT PUNT PUNK SUNK SANK SINK SINS PINS PENS PANS PATS PALS PALM PALE PATE FATE MATE DATE LATE GATE GAME NAME SAME SOME ROME COME COLE SOLE SILE VILE RILE BILE FILE TILE PILE PILL MILL MILE MICE MISE MIKE BIKE BIDE BITE CITE CITY PITY PITH LITH WITH WISH WASH WASP GASP GASH CASH LASH BASH SASH DASH HASH DASH DOSH DOSE DOPE HOPE POPE ROPE ROSE ROSS BOSS LOSS LOST POST HOST MOST WOST COST ROST ROOT ROOM BOOM BOOT FOOT FOOL FOOD GOOD MOOD MOOT MOON SOON TOON TOWN TORN WORN CORN PORN PORK PORT PERT PERM TERM GERM BERM BERT BART BARN BORN BORE LORE LOVE LOGE LUGE HUGE HUGS JUGS BUGS LUGS LEGS KEGS PEGS BEGS BEES PEES PEAS PETS BETS BATS BOTS BITS BINS BANS BAND LAND LARD HARD HARP HARK MARK LARK LURK LUCK DUCK DUNK FUNK JUNK JUNE LUNE DUNE RUNE RUNT BUNT BENT SENT LENT RENT RANT RANK RINK RING PING KING SING DING DONG SONG LONG PONG PONY POND BOND BEND SEND FEND FEED NEED SEED WEED HEED HEEL PEEL FEEL FELL FELT PELT PEAT PEAR BEAR HEAR TEAR REAR REAM READ DEAD DEAF LEAF BEAF BEEF BEEN SEEN TEEN KEEN KEEP DEEP WEEP WEEK WEAK SEAK TEAK BEAK PEAK PERK PERL PELL PEAL PEAN MEAN MOAN LOAN LOAM FOAM FOAL COAL COAT BOAT GOAT MOAT MOAS MONS MANS MASS MOSS TOSS TOTS TITS TIPS SIPS NIP HIPS PIPS PIPE SIPE RIPE RIFE LIFE LIKE LICE VICE RICE DICE DINE DIVE DOVE COVE CODE NODE NUDE DUDE RUDE RUBE LUBE TUBE CUBE CUTE CUTS RUTS RUNS BUNS BUTS BUTT BITT MITT MIST MUST MUSK TUSK BUSK DUSK DUST BUST LIST LAST MAST MASK TASK TACK RACK LACK PACK PICK SICK LICK TICK TOCK LOCK ROCK MOCK MACK SACK BACK CACK JACK HACK HANK HAND HIND BIND RIND KIND KINS KISS p*** MISS MESS LESS LASS BASS BASK BANK DANK TANK TANS FANS CANS SANS SONS SOBS SOTS HOTS HATS EATS OATS CATS CARS BARS BARE BABE BAKE LAKE LAME TAME DAME DAMP DUMP SUMP PUMP LUMP LAMP CAMP GAMP GIMP PIMP WIMP LIMP LIME DIME MIME MINE MINT PINT TINT TENT CENT DENT TIED TIER PIER PIES PITS ZITS WITS WITH SITH SITE LITE LOTE TOTE TONE MONE MANE BANE BINE BONE CONE CANE FANE FAME FADE BADE CADE CAGE RAGE PAGE PAYE PANE LANE LINE LIVE GIVE GIBE JIBE JIVE HIVE HAKE CAKE CAME CAMO CAPO CAPE GAPE GAVE HAVE HAME MAME MACE MAKE SAKE WAKE WANE WAND SAND SANE SAVE SAGE MAGE WAGE WADE WADS DAD'S LADS FADS FEDS KEDS KIDS KITS HITS HUTS NUTS NETS LETS LOTS POTS PUTS MUTS MATS MARS SARS VARS TARS JARS WARS EARS EARN WARN WARD WART WARM WORM WORK WORE WOVE MOVE MODE MADE LADE LAVE PAVE WAVE WIVE WIFE WISE WIDE DIDE DIKE PIKE PUKE DUKE NUKE NIKE NICE FICE FIFE FINE NINE WINE VINE PINE SINE TINE TIME TIDE TIDY TODY BODY BODE RODE RODS CODS CONS CONK BONK BUNK GUNK GINK KINKThe previous post uses pluralized four letter words, making them five letter, which might deep six the following.I clicked a LINK in search of a LINT of a HINT in my HUNT, without intending HURT to a HART or a TART, across TARN and through YARN, whether you give a DARN in me putting in a DARG, for a script in DARD for this BARD to speak in the YARD without a cue CARD. NOTS3W
The following opinion is that of the poster and not necessarily that of the forum or its membership.A word pluralized to fit into a sentence is acceptable as long as the singular form is a valid four-letter word and is not changed when pluralized, except to add an S or ES. KINK is a valid word, so using KINKs in a sentence, in my opinion, is okay.I clicked a LINK in search of a LINT of a HINT in my HUNT, without intending HURT to a HART or a TART, across TARN and through YARN, whether you give a DARN in me putting in a DARG, for a script in DARD for this BARD to speak in the YARD without a cue CARD.As much as I hate to admit it, assuming all of the words are legitimate words, I'll concede that you beat my 13-word sentence. However:I find that when cooking CARP it's best to wrap it in a TARP so it doesn't WARP although I'd still be WARY if the temperature should VARY VERY much because your wife might exclaim a VERB or two before you apply that special HERB of HERS which wouldn't make you much of a HERO to the HERD HERE if they meant to HIRE you to serve HARE instead of that fishy WARE you cooked on a WIRE over an open FIRE. NOTS3W
I'm surprised that out of 456,976 four-letter combinations, there are so few actual words. We're far from 1,000 words and it's getting harder and harder to find the next word that isn't a dead end. I don't want to be the one who plays that last word and ends the game. It is a chrysalis but I would have to say the word is obscure at best.Anyway, I made a string of 45 words (not listed ) and that was only in one direction, so there are plenty more out there.
