johndoe74 Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 (edited) what he's trying to say is there are two different versions of that particular hotfix. the one with windowsxp in the filename (WindowsXP-KB929969-x86-ENU.exe) is only for windows xp service pack 2 with the built in internet explorer 6 sp2. so u need to add that particular patch if you're gonna stay with IE6 and not slipstream IE7the other patch has IE7 in the filename (IE7-KB929969-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe) so it's obviously required (and not the one above) if you're gonna be slipstreaming internet explorer 7 as well.if you go with the first scenario, i.e., keep the default IE6 then u will need to add that specific hotfix. but later on if you decide to install IE7 (after windows is installed), you will need to patch it again with the IE7 specific hotfixhope this helps (rather than causing even more confusion) Edited July 23, 2007 by johndoe74
