raidrunner Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 So, what's the criteria for deciding which option to use when adding RAID drivers? I'm asking as I haven't seen anything on it while skimming what guides I've found.I've got a RAID 10 array on an LSI i4 card from which I need to recover data. I built a new W2K load with the RAID driver and saw the driver name when the prep files were being loaded prior to loading the OS. But, when the process got to finding a volume on which to put the load, the RAID array evidently wasn't seen.
IcemanND Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 If you were to install windows xp from a standard cd and have to press F6 to install the mass storage drivers so that you can install windows on your SATA/SCSI drive you want to install the drivers as textmode drives. If you do not need to press F6 you only need to install them as PNP drivers.
raidrunner Posted July 19, 2007 Author Posted July 19, 2007 Thanks, IcemanND. It's been perplexing..,
