how to add shortcuts in the start menu?

can any one pleae tell me how i can add shortcuts to my start menu during the unattended installation of XP.

i want to add shortcuts of applications to the start menu.

can any body please provide a small tutorial on making shortcuts and pin these shortcuts to start menu......

please help me........

Have a look here. I tried a while back and it works but I cannot find a way to set a name, it normally ends up as program.exe i.e calc.exe.
