Help in Integrating SATA Drivers

Recommended Posts

Posted

I've just got a new PC and I am having trouble installing Windows on account of needing SATA drivers. I don't have a floppy drive so I can't do it the old way so I attempted to use nlite to intergrate the SATA drivers from my mobo's driver disc. I've tried adding the inf file during the driver section of all the what I deem SATA related drivers.

I have a ASrock AM2V890-VSTA and Windows XP Home SP2 and on the driver disc there are two folders Serial ATA For Floppy Disk and SATA2 now which one should I be using. I tried adding all of the inf files but I am guessing I am doing something wrong here in that I need to do more then just add the inf files? Any help would be appreciated.

You can integrate both but if you get a message asking for PNP or text, high light them and select text, click ok, select text for all the messages dont integrate any x64 drivers though or 98,ME etc...

If you double click on the exe file it will start and extract the files to your temp folder.

Click on Start > Run and type %temp% (include the %s) then OK. That will open your temp folder. If you sort the contents by their modified date, the folder that was created most recently should have the "goods" so to speak.
