Brando569
i just bought a sandisk cruzer and added all of these portable apps to it and i was wondering if there was a variable i could use as a location for downloads (ex. how %systemroot% points to the windows folder on the drive it was installed to), this would be very useful in programs such as firefox and utorrent. gosh
if your sandisk is a u3 device, you can download a flash drive compatible web browser by using the u3 web browser.-gosh
Brando569
it is a u3 drive but i removed the interface and replaced it with portable apps menu since it looks a lot nicer, and most of u3's apps arent free :/no heres my next problem, how can i have it so that it sets that variable up automatically when i connect the drive? i tried putting it in the autorun file but it doesnt seem to work.this is what it looks like currently:[Autorun]Open=PortableApps\PortableAppsMenu\PortableAppsMenu.exeOpen="diskdetect.exe -removable"Action=Start PortableAppsIcon=PortableApps\PortableAppsMenu\PortableAppsMenu.exeLabel=PortableApps Edited July 16, 2007 by Brando569
IcemanND
detectdrive will need to run before your apps menu does.
