are there variables for removable drives?

i just bought a sandisk cruzer and added all of these portable apps to it and i was wondering if there was a variable i could use as a location for downloads (ex. how %systemroot% points to the windows folder on the drive it was installed to), this would be very useful in programs such as firefox and utorrent.

if your sandisk is a u3 device, you can download a flash drive compatible web browser by using the u3 web browser.

it is a u3 drive but i removed the interface and replaced it with portable apps menu since it looks a lot nicer, and most of u3's apps arent free :/

no heres my next problem, how can i have it so that it sets that variable up automatically when i connect the drive? i tried putting it in the autorun file but it doesnt seem to work.

this is what it looks like currently:

detectdrive will need to run before your apps menu does.
