ftp security through cmd

using ftp for clients to access files through ftp, when using ftp through cmd it allows the clients to access other folders that they shouldnt be

any ideas on solving this problem

do you have access to the ftp server? if you do whether its a windows or unix there are options in the ftp service interface that can be set to allow/deny access to specific folders.
