Alpaca Portrait Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 (edited) I generally think Amazon.com has a pretty good reputation, but I'm always wary of credit card offers. Any time I go to their site I see their VISA promotion with a $30 instant credit. I'd like to know if anyone's ever applied and successfully used the $30 credit and if it was a hassle or not. Thanks. tain Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 I haven't looked into this at all since I have no doubt that the card has a high interest rate and isn't worth it in the long run. Some people get such cards just for the one-time discount, but I think that also hurts your credit.
Alpaca Portrait Posted July 14, 2007 Author Posted July 14, 2007 Thanks for the reply. I have no idea what the interest rate is but I'm sure it's high. I don't carry a balance month to month so it's not really an issue. Someone e-mailed me and said they thought it was an interesting question, and since there weren't any replies here they posted it on a forum they go to. The people who replied there said it was a legit deal so I already applied and got my card yesterday. If someone offers me $30 in free purchases I'm gonna take it!
