i ran the repack an it work.

so my comand looks like this now....

If your .EXE is in the %systemdrive%\install\PRE_SP2\SECURITY\ directory (i.e. $OEM$\$1\install\PRE_SP2\SECURITY\), that would be correct.

The repack works fine, it is actually running the patch that is in question, due to the generated 8.3 names (e.g. file01~1.ext), as opposed to the long file names. Do tell the final result, after install.

save this batch and put it with Q823718.exe in same folder and run the batch the batch will make new pack you can install it without switchs

Q823718.CMD

will this work for other MDAC files such as...

Q329414_MDAC.EXE

Q832483_MDAC.EXE

for win2000 sp3???

edit- i geust not no one anwered and i tried it and did not work o well....
