WizardsDen Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I have created a universal image for all my computer systems using the nLite 1.3.5 and I have the dreaded SFC error whenever I install most anything. I have also encountered the missing files error during sysprep.if I integrate a CD with nLite 1.4.0 can I repair these issues without having to rebuild my image from scratch?
nuhi Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 No. It has to be rebuilt with the 1.4.And there is a chance that you will get SFC popup at the logon, either provide it with that same CD which installed those Windows or choose cancel-yes.
WizardsDen Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 Well Shoot! Thanks for the lightning fast reply Nuhi!!I will create a new image with the new tool...you said there is a chance that I will get SFC popup at the logon.. is the SFC still a bug in the system? can I direct the SFC to a folder on the HDD? or will cancel-yes eliminate the issue permanently?
nuhi Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 So far it is reported that it might popup on the first logon if you just integrate IE7.I tested with IE7 integrated and all removed, no issues, properly protected. Seems like Frontpage Extensions are the one component that should be removed in order to "solve" that popup. There might me others but very few, like MS Agent maybe. It shouldn't popup on every device install now, that is fixed...or is it Anyway in another thread there is more info about it and we are on it.
WizardsDen Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 nice!we aren't using IE7 or frontpage extentions so hopefully this won't be an issue..
