Process Stop At 13 Min In The Gui Setup

Featured Replies

I receive message to confirm where to extract files at 13 min left on the GUI install.

My question is: Has anyone else encountered this, if so how did you deal with it?

Sounds like you're forgetting a command switch on one of the programs. Care to post the code of the hotfix installation?

I think this since none of the other are running yet because it hasn't reached the GUIRUNONCE...

So any observation? Any one that can shed some light?

I think its Q817778.exe as GreenMachine mentioned in another thread. Remove that entry and try Setup again. If you really need that installed, do it from a batch file in GuiRunOnce

After tacking a closer look i've noticed the Q828026 and Q32705 are not installing. If it's the Q817778.exe that is causing the issue I think it wouldn't install but I see no signs of it not being installed. Any input?

Certainly sounds like a bum or missing switch somewhere. Check that all the hotfixes with blue and white icons use the /Q /U /N /Z switches, and the other use the /Q:A /R:N switches. 817778 should block you if it is in error: not with a browse for extraction prompt, but with an error message. (Looks like someone else has got it working from here, so my theory is kinda shot...) I have also noticed that even when in error, 817778 shows as installed (the error is at the very end of installation). Are any updates installing? Do you see something else happening at this stage?
