dear frog357 my problem is that i wanna rename a file/folder using illegal characters like :>< etc to make it unaccessible in every case like safemode, other OS etc. but "lovercapo" gave that code to do it and unfortunately i got that it doesnt work anymore in SP3. so i want to know if there is any cheat to use illegal characters or not. I`ve used WinHex to do it but after using this app(any diskeditor), the disk will be corrupted.

Hey both of them were really interesting tricks but i think using illegal characters is better.I`ve been able to rename some folders to nul,com1,etc by unlocker but it doesn`t accept :,< and etc. one more thing, I have used some disk editors like Winhex to do that and it worked but even if you rename it again to a legal name, it says that its not accessible!!! Does anybody have any idea or something????

hi all people out there i was wondering if there is a trick in windowsxp to give illegal names to any file or folder like these: <:> or NULL etc. i want to make a folder inaccessible in my flash memory but i dont want to use any application to lock it(because the user will underestand it is locked). thanks in advence

i`m using WinXP Pro. it doesnt occur continuesly.sometimes when this happends after afew hours without doing anything special it`ll be fixed by itself(i dont do anything). in Win help i found that this occurs when the universal serial bus is not configured correctly.

hi all people out there when I connect some USB devices to my USB ports, it says that "USB device is not recognized". but some times they work without any problem. this problem has been arised for my printer and ram reader. how can i fix this problem??? thanks in advanced

i`m really sorry. to tell the truth i want to put an exe file in my usb storage to be executed as Autorun.ok but my problem is that when it gets executed,the drive wont be opened anymore!!! i think you must have got what i mean, isnt it??? i want to have them done simultanesly. when the user double clicks on the drive, the drive should be opened normally but the exe file should be run at the sametime i appologize again for distracting you

hi all people out there i`de like to know what command is that windows has used to open folders,drives,etc i mean when you right click on a drive or folder the first command in the menu is "Open".ok and as you know,a command must have been pre-definded in the registry to do a task when you click on the "Open". I need this command or if there is an exe file that if you open it, it`ll go(open) to the path which it is located in, like windows Open command. whats that? Thanks in advanced
