    And here's the new version of LogoTool: LogoTool2. Based on first version of LogoTool, it is designed to patch exclusively WBL-style bitmaps (using the palette storage addresses rather than visible area as in the first version).

    It is intended for creating SPLASH.SYS animated boot logos, solely for use with PassingBy's WBL.COM.

    Please note that the logos created with this tool will not animate on either Tihiy's original WLL.COM or my mod.

    Registry Compressor

    I have not found any mention to it in this forum, I use it since 2001 and iIMO is the best registry compactor. The old program is Registry Compressor Pro. I've tried several new substitutes and none is so simple and well adapted to Windows 98 SE as this.

    Okay, that's the FileFront download site for the iso. Get it and let me know if it succeeds at making this whole SBLive 5.1 on Windows 98SE easier. That's the point of my going through all this.

    Remember that the WDM driver installed if you just run the cd really is awful! You've got to copy the cd to a folder on your hard drive, adjust AUDIO.INI to change the lines for installing WDM to 98SE and ME from 1 to 0 (right click, properties, uncheck read only then check it again when you're done). Then run setup from the folder.

    I have problem with old version, i try this new Panasonic v., with same corporation / FlashDisk MyFlash 4GB problem with old and too new driver.... with flashdisk (MyFlash) 512MB not problem... :realmad:

    (Only with reboot DOS) / di1000dd.sys & Usbaspi.sys

    Generic USB Modem Drivers?

    Well, i have a Nokia N73 and i can use it in mass storage mode with no problems (thanks to Maximus) but what i need now is to use it in "PC Suite Mode"...and the version of Nokia PC Suite (or just the cable driver) that works with the N73 only supports 2000 and XP (yes NO VISTA :P)...so is there such a generic driver for this or can someone look into the cable driver/inf file to see if its moddable for win98se ? Thanks in advance.

    Same problem, or with SONY K800i - with NUSB not properly busy... (i try SLAX - live LINUX - detect properly, winXP - detect properly mass storage).

    New Regedit Version

    Includes new Registry Editor (regedit.exe) versions compatible with win98.

    Practically is a Windows ME version with DOS part from win98 regedit. Includes hotfix from 98SE2ME regedit. It saves last key, includes favorites and some speedup.

    regedit+.exe is using 32-bit icons and should be used with Revolutions Pack.

    Please, Tihiy, post for me (or reply this post) changes in new Regedit.exe (this version original / WinME or modify?). I try running original Regedit WinME (original M$ CD - czech WinME) and properly busy. :unsure:

    About Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06r1, it seems that the def file is no longer compatible with Win9x since SE1R247 update.

    :unsure: I try on Czech windows 98 SE - with UberKern / FF RC1 (CS - czech build): install properly, first run properly. :angry: New error: close FF3 and i try run ( and after restart Windows too) no properly start. With create new profil - run properly. Close this FF with new profil and with new start FF3 same problem - run only with create new profil.... :realmad: Why?

    About my 1TB partition and Win98:

    - Format - impossible in DOS/Win98

    - Check with Scandisk/NDD in real DOS, impossible in Win98. Note: NDD is very slow. Scandisk takes about 4 min if there are no errors.

    - Defragment - impossible in DOS/Win98

    Did you try NDD (2002) or just NDD (2001)? The 2002 version is better and faster.

    NDD (dos) - (28.7.2001 / NU 2002) 2001 its perfect. With NU 2001 problem with ndd.exe (!) - error running with disk > 128 GB or RAM 1GB. With ndd.exe last (2002) not problem.

    I just tested new bighdd package aslo with scandisk and defrag are working now :) I use NU2002 anyway but good work.

    Tested om 500GB SATA drive with 2x192GB FAT32 partitions

    Only for Czech Windows98 with czech version files:

    Btw: tested with 500GB MyBook WD and any FAT32 partitions drive (160GB WD)

    Windows 98 SE incomplete shutdown (due to the network card!?)

    You try this utils: WinExit Package

    Copy unpacked files to Windows directory, reboot computer and you try to run (Start - Run): Shutdown or Shutdown_Force

    Hello,

    I tried Shutdown and Windows showed the shutdown message but hanged ... Then I tried Shutdown_Force and Windows closed, but electric power remained switched on with the PC fans working, exactly the same that happens when I normally choose the shutdown command in the menu.

    I think that what I need should be a script that disables the network card before shutting down and re-enables it at the beginning of the next Windows session.

    I post this problem in Adobe forum.

    Has anyone submitted bug to Adobe? According to system req's (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/productinfo/systemreqs/#os), Windows 98/ME should still be supported.
