Thank you for the explaination. So, are you saying that if I don't want to use the Viiv stuff I don't have to install it? I believe its only use in relation to Media Center and that I don't use.

I'm currently using a Intel E6600 2.4GHz. Viiv processor in my Dell XPS/410 computer and I'm stumped as for as when i should install it. The order for my system drivers are normally chipset, video, audio and network drivers. Where would you place this VIIV processor? I'm been told to place it after the chipset driver but it doesn't yield good performance that way. Could someone shed a little light on this topic please. Thank you in advance for any help.

I have been currently trying to uninstall my network driver, (Linksys LNE100TX ethernet adapter (LNE 100 TX V4) in order to install my new D-Link DGE-530T 10/100/1000 adapter. Everytime I try to uninstall the network adapter it give me the message that this driver may be neede to reboot the system. Can someone help me with this. Thank you in advance.

Does it matter if both areas being used in the striped raid area are different sizes

I'm tyring to configure my hard drive using a striped configuration. Even though my hard drives are different sizes, 40G and 80G. I understand that the partitioned area being used for striped config. has to be the same size. What would happen if the area being used for the striped area weren't the same size, what would happen? Would it decrease your performance as for as the seek time?
