I'm tyring to configure my hard drive using a striped configuration. Even though my hard drives are different sizes, 40G and 80G. I understand that the partitioned area being used for striped config. has to be the same size. What would happen if the area being used for the striped area weren't the same size, what would happen?

Would it decrease your performance as for as the seek time?
