Both explorer and IE are available as scripts when you build a VistaPE (boot disk based on windows Pe 2.x)
It's a fully automated process.

It's possible and .NET runs on well on Windows PE 2.x - we've been running .NET apps for quite some time now under WinPE.

Try the VistaPE project that will build a boot disk using the Windows PE 2.x from either a Vista Install DVD or MS WAIK and add the .NET script.
MS by default makes it very hard to add more features like these so you'll have to something like winbuilder.

Don't know any solution - sorry.
One thing interesting that I notice is that when I run StarCraft under Wine (on Linux) it will allow you to play on a window instead of full screen which avoids the "streched" look when playing on regular laptops with wide display.
Been 10 years but still an awesome game..

Yes, there is maybe some confusion.
The purpose of this project - UXP - is to create a big sized XP Install DVD that contains addons, drivers and a Live CD environment as well.

If you are using version 2 of UXP there shouldn't be any worry about nLite since it is not enabled by default.
Let's do it this way.
- Download a fresh version of UXP
- Extract all contents to c:\UXP
- Run winbuilder.exe (you'll also need to turn off UAC to allow building registry hives under Vista)
- Click on the big blue play button and select the path to your windows XP Install CD
See the results, don't change any of the settings that come as default on the first time you run the project to ensure that all is build correctly.
Should work as you expect.

Had you changed any settings on nLite?
You can also disable the scripts on the nlite folder to skip this portion altogether as it isn't much necessary at all.
nlite addons are handled by WPI and DriverPacks ensures driver support.

Tell me your joking with that machine spec! or you typed it wrong?
Wasn't so long ago that a 800Mhz CPU machine with 512Mb of RAM was an excellent piece of hardware that costed a lot of money.
800Mhz is more than enough, I remember doing these sort of things on a Pentium machine running at 90Mhz and it worked well, I didn't had internet at the time but my webcam was used as a motion detector and toke pics when something changed while I was away, no need for recording video whatsoever.
Most major software products nowadays are somewhat bloated and fool people to get bigger resources when the same things were available with much older hardware.
In practical terms it's almost like using a shot gun to shoot a fly in the window..

To support multiple webcams you should opt for USB webcams because they are as cheap as possible and only need to worry about the proper cable extension (I don't remember exactly what is max length for this sort of cable from memory - you'll need to look it up if necessary)
On the web there are still available some freeware projects that run from win95 up to NT.

To remote control your machine you can also use VNC and directly view the webcam images from several open windows at the same time - I've done it a few times before and also worked a bit like I needed.

Some time ago I wanted to carry around a site based on PHP on my pendisk so I did a small freeware program that requires no install whatsoever.
Just double click and it will open your pages.
No mysql supported as I didn't required any of this but perhaps you like it.

Also noticed that nLite will break the DPS and vice-versa so I use WPI and an automated addons converter to enjoy silent installs from nlite addons.
The drivers are a bit outdated and I haven't added an option to automatically slipstream the SP3 onto a XP source but this can also be scripted if there is interest in such feature.
As bonus - you also get a XP running live from the DVD for computer repair or later on use the same disc to install XP onto the machine, did it basically as a tool for techs.

This has been a long beta to finish, Peter almost reached all possible letters in the alphabet and beta 5 is a more mature version that is starting to be more turned towards a stable release.
Experimental support for writing/reading hives without resort to win32 functions was also added but is not yet finished due to some bugs in the code that will need to be solved with some luck in time for beta 6.

Your post seems too cryptic to be understood.
I see you're using an editor called "010 Editor" that is not freeware in the first place so I won't certainly even bother to install.
If you specify exactly what you need I (or others) might be able to provide some help.

Check the firewall and try with it disabled. On XP SP2 machines this usually helps to allow registering the machine on domain, maybe the same applies for your windows 2003.
Also, a lot of services come disabled as default. Look under the services panel or computer policy restrictions to see what is selected or not by default.
Don't have much experience adding windows 2003 machines onto a local domain but last time I saw someone else doing it, didn't noticed any strange procedures to get this working.

There's also a change on the rules to get WAIK as it now requires WGA to allow downloading this package from the MS site and this might pose a restriction to people without a valid windows license or to those worried about safekeeping their privacy that prefer not to install WGA on their machines.

Last week, Paraglider also mentioned that we would be willing to change regshot to output app script compatible format, which would allow to script all registry operations with winbuilder: http://www.boot-land.net/forums/index.php?...ost&p=41542
Beware that not all captured registry is correct because of the internal DLL versions that are found on the host system and regshot doesn't take into account the correct OCX/DLL registrations or even the cases where the windows platform might not provide the required dependencies at all (for example: differences between XP/Vista or full install vs minimal install / PE install)

I mention this because we've been working on a method to install programs into other windows install that we also build from scratch so a lot of these tools and concerns needed to be solved and scripted to allow correct automation of all these steps.

Nuno Brito, I failed to mention that I am running XP Pro x64 Edition. It looks like TugZip does not support this OS.
Well, it does seem to work on x64 XP but I also found some report about missing the context menu:

The main reason Kels and I use WinRAR is because several ISPs will kick ZIP files out of emails since they are notorious for virus'. Outlook and ZIP don't like each other much..7z is also a nice format to attach on email messages and can quickly be created from right-click menu from either tugzip or 7zip as well.
Advantage is that you'd be supporting an open format with a far more efficient compression algorithim, very cool for big sized files.

My second choice would definitively be 7zip, really like the .7z results but as you mention it's a bit difficult to use at start.
Don't really understand why so many would like to use WinRAR in first place since it does nag people to hit the button and so many other freeware options with excellent quality exist.

I guess we can go back to DEFCON 4, but not yet to DEFCON 5, until we understand what's happening rolleyes.gif .
It's not just ninf that is vulnerable to Unicode differences, winbuilder itself is not heavily tested under a full unicode environment since european and americans aren't very dependent on this feature.
Only recently with more feedback from Asian users it has been possible to pinpoint some of these flaws.

But if LiveXP boots fine under qemu and only fails on real hardware then I would still suggest building the XP project using SDI technology as mentioned previously.
Wouldn't surprise me if it worked after using the ram drivers from Windows 2003

I would recommend stay away from dreamweaver if you really want to build a new site or from any other automated template software of the kind.
Instead of notepad use some other editor like "Notepad plus" in conjunction with "Kompozer" that will surely help you produce code really quick.
Also, there are plenty of good looking HTML templates out there so there is no need to invent one from scratch but you will certainly need to understand exactly how it was created to overcome the troubles of Firefox vs IE vs Opera vs Safari vs Google Chrome, etc, etc.
To test how the site looks, try the XAMPP web server that will turn your machine into a proper host to run HTML, PHP and MySQL.
Learning how to do things by yourself will certainly save a lot of time and worries in the future - trust me..
There are a lot of tutorials out there - if you take baby steps and learn your way around PHP and HTML you will definitively get better results, especially if your community starts growing at a good pace and you suddenly need to optimize the code of your site to allow the server to support the overload.
In the end you also get to learn how to become a better web designer even if your site doesn't get popular.

I have built and administered a few sites over the years, some of these sites pass over 140.000 unique visitors per month and I keep learning new tricks at each day that surely wouldn't look so well if they were done by dreamweaver or such.
