  1. Just an FYI... this thread comes up first in google searching on "asus windows 2000 install hangs", so I must not be alone in having the exact same problem you were. Your solution exactly solved my problem, leaving a great deal of my hair intact. Thanks a lot. Don't know what I'd have done 2 weeks ago!
  2. Hi, sorry if this is the wrong forum, feel free to move me... Using the first half of your make-an-office-2k cab guide along with some info from MS and the ORK, I've been able to make an admin install of office including all my preferences, all SPs, and all hotfixes. (I'm not an admin, in case you can't tell...) Here's the problem: the ORK lets you integrate setup options, profile, and other stuff (useful command line utilities, reg keys, etc.), rolling everything up into an .mst file, which you run as a TRANSFORMS property on the setup. What I don't understand is this: There's one setup file in the admin folder, but two .msi files, one for each original Office disc. (1: Word, Excel, Access, etc., 2: Publisher, which I have been known to actually use.) When I run my unattended setup, it sets up the first disc just as I wish, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to launch disc2.mst. It doesn't go, basically, just starts up and then quits. Here are my command lines: setup.exe /wait TRANSFORMS=[Path]\disc1.MST /qb+ setup.exe /wait TRANSFORMS=[Path]\disc2.MST /qb+ I need to get both discs into a single setup execution, apparently, or did I have to originally create an Admin folder with two subfolders? (This wasn't specified in the unattended guide, so I didn't do it.) Hope this is descriptive enough. I can go into more detail, but I can't promise to use the right lingo. Thanks for a great site, btw.
