  1. Try UBCD4win (http://www.ubcd4win.com). One of the tools provided is "Salas Password Renew" which lets you change any local user password easily (plus is free). Building the CD is easy and straightforward. Hope this helps ciao
  2. Rasken, very strange.. by the way this is what I used to do to install win2k from HDD: 1-wipe everything from the HDD with norton GDISK (or similar), including resetting mbr 2-create partitions (1 primary FAT, 1 logical FAT), make primary active 3-Copy installation files on 2nd partition 4-boot with win98 floppy (smartdrive enabled) 5-run winnt.exe from d:\sourcepath\i386 I used to ghost the HDD prior to stage 4 so to have a clean image of the HDD with all the installation files already on the 2nd partition, in case something went wrong PS: first step normally solved most of the issues I've had. Fdisk couldn't fix a problem I had with IBM OEM installations which rendered some of the HDD i had to reformat unusable hope this helps ciao
  3. I was too thinking about sharing the same $oem$ folder, than I realized that cdimage would let me have the same folder in different places in my structure without worrying about running out of space (cdimage -o switch does the trick). So I just copy $oem$ over and over and then create the ISO. I have 6 unattended 2K configurations in less than 600 MB
  4. Just got the same error. Trying again uncheckin Drivers
  5. Works smoothly from a WinXP PC. I guess I wrongly assumed I could run it from a 2k Installation. Many thanks to nuhi for the great job (now I can fit several 2k and XP configurations in one CD). ciao Nico
  6. Hi all Nlite keeps hanging at some point (usually at the "building file list" stage, sometimes at the "deleting files" point) no matter which kind of selection I make. I'm building out of an Italian distro, no SP1, on a Win2k box. Logfile reports a long file list and than nothing else happens (Nlite process at 29 MB ram, hardly any HDD activity). I've tried any possible combination with the same risult. Any idea? Ciao Nico
