  1. I borrowed a Genuine Microsoft Windows XP SP2 disk. I must just fix the winnt.sif, txtsetup.sif and add drivers for my Promise Fasttx2k and then install. Will post results 2morow.
  2. I just cannot get slipstreamed SP2 to install. My hardware is MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR with Amd 2800+ Barton CPU. XP installs fine up to the first reboot. When it is suppost to show the Windows XP starting up screen, the PC just reboots itself. Last time I tried, I had the "Critical Update for Windows XP (KB885626)" install before DotNet 1.1 at the 12 min mark. It is still doing the same thing. I also have the latest bios update. I installes SP2 once after installing slipstreamed XP sp1, and had endless memory errors. Do anyone know how to resolve this isssue?
  3. Could be a SP2 issue. I am battling to install my slipstreamed XP sp2. It gets stuck in a loop after install. When I installed sp2 on top of Windows XP sp1, I got memory errors all the time.

  5. I saw this in a few places now. This is the key to add to modify the maximum number of simultaneous connections TcpNumConnections Key: TcpipParameters Value Type: REG_DWORD - Number Valid Range: 0 - 0xfffffe Default: 0xfffffe Description: This parameter limits the maximum number of connections that TCP can have open simultaneously. Can anyone confirm that changing this registry entry will fix the connection limitation on users windows who actually want to allow maximum connections. Do someone have a reg file which fixes this problem?
  6. Windows XP Professional SP2 RC MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR Nforce 2 chipset Motherboard AMD 2800+ 512kb cache Barton CPU 2 x 120GB 8MB SATA cache Seagate Hard drives 512MB DDR GForce 4 MX440 1 x LG 52x CD Rom 1 x LG 52x CD Writer 1 x LG DVD Rom 1 x LG 4082B DVD writer 50 minutes first pass with Gordian Knot on 01:45min movie. 7. Can I use this tweak on my AMD 2800+ Barton ;AMD Processor Fix [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management] "LargePageMinimum"=dword:ffffffff and where do I use "SecondLevelDataCache"=dword:00000100 because I see 3 or 4 instances of it in my registry?
  8. "SecondLevelDataCache"=dword:00000100 With most computers now having L2 caches larger than that it pays to take the time to change the setting to correspond to the size of the cache memory installed. 100 = 256KB 200 = 512KB Ok, how do I find out how big my cache memory is (whether I have 256Kb or 512kb)? I found 3 or four instances of "SecondLevelDataCache" in my registry. Which one do I edit for 2800+ Barton.
  9. I had the same problem. You have to follow the guide. You will edit the [sCSI] section of your TXTSETUP.SIF file and a few other things then XP setup will detect your sata fine..
  10. What I do to get around this is to make a batch file that installs your app fine. Execute this batch file from the Runonceexec instead of running the whole command from your runonce.
  11. I am also looking to ge that menue when using winnt.sif
