  1. I'm sure that I am not. I don't know what that is. I'm using a pretty standard Windows XP SP2 system with a few registry tweaks is about all. I installed from the last unattened disk I created some months ago. Searched and now know what this is. Cool! But not using it yet. Ah, I'm thinking this registry tweak might be causing the problem. I had this in my RegTweaks.reg file during setup. Although I'm working in a FAT32 partition, Windows is installed in an NTFS partion. I've also had trouble with the WinRAR Addon. I've set this back to the default but that won't affect files and folders that were already writen to the drive I think. But I don't see any long file names in any of the paths that should matter yet on the Windows drive. Not sure, but checking this possibility out. ;Disable 8.3 Name Creation in NTFS [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem] "NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation"=dword:00000001 Nothing seemed to help. Just won't work on my system as it is now. I ran driver setup on another computer and had no problems.
  2. I have used these driver packs in the past without errors, but now I have tried all three methods and they all produce errors. I cannot see what I could be doing wrong. I extract "BTS_DriverPacks_BASE_V6022.exe" to "E:\BTS\". I place "DriverPack_LAN_V602.7z", "DriverPack_MassStorage_V510.7z", and "DriverPack_Chipset_V602.7z" in the "DriverPacks" folder (These are the only packs I'm using.) and run "BTS_DPs_Slipstreamer_V6022.cmd". With all method 1 I get, "The system cannot find the file specified. The system cannot find the file specified. The system cannot find the file specified. _ DriverPacks extracted... The system cannot find the file specified. The system cannot find the file CABfiles_M1.cmd. Could Not Find E:\BTS\CABfiles_M1.cmd _ Drivers compressed with CAB compression... _ Necessary files collected...". The drivers are copied into the "UWXPCD_ROOT" folder but not compressed I think. Methods 2 and 3 give the same message, "The system cannot find the file specified. The system cannot find the file specified. The system cannot find the file specified. The system cannot find the file specified. _ DriverPacks collected... The system cannot find the file specified. _ Necessary files collected...". That's it, and the driver packs are not copied in any way into the "UWXPCD_ROOT" folder.
  3. In the Windows folder of my current installation there is a hidden folder named "$hf_mig$" it appears to me to contain a complete copy of every update that "Automatic Updates" has downloaded and installed on my computer since I last installed from my unattended CD with SP2 integrated. Does anyone have any comments on using these to track any new updates that might be required and integrate them with the CD image before re-installing?
