  1. About the new version that's coming soon: -slipstreaming updates won't be very necessary, because a new version has been released -online stores will be optional @larciel: no idea @Lau: thanks! Added to the list!
  2. Updated 20th of February 2005 BTS DriverPacks BASE V5.02.8 Download! V5.02.8 (20 Feb 05) -Improved: some minor 'under-the-hood' components -Fixed: problem with method 1 and DriverPack Graphics A -Fixed: method 1 CAB compression didn't skip some files that shouldn't be compressed Please note that the problems with DriverPack MassStorage have NOT (yet) been fixed!
  3. Well, I'm using nothing but a clean Win XP EN CD, as mentioned before. no nLiteno updatesno apps... nothing but my DriverPacks is addedFor the record, my hardware specs:ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe (nForce 2 Ultra)AMD Athlon XP-M 2600+ @200*11.52*512 MB DDR 400 TwinMOS @200 2.5-3-3-79600 Pro160 GB PATA + 80 GB SATAI know I listed some unnecessary things but... I'll put V5.02.8 online, with special notice that for the moment it's impossible to get DP MassStorage to work...
  4. Does ANYONE have ANY idea what could be causing this piece of misery? I mean, what has changed so much, that we're getting all these errors all of a sudden? Honestly, I wouldn't know... What has changed? -3ware drivers added -some more drivers added (not going to start a head-by-head comparison...) -the system of implementing DP MassStorage: highly _improved_. ALL ideas are welcome!
  5. NO VMware emulates specific hardware and the drivers for this hardware will be installed, not the ones you've added! Please search next time before asking!
  6. @moesasji: nice try But it doesn't work like that... In VMware I don't have trouble, but on a real PC, I do...
  7. Well... see the post above... Another possiblity, the one I always (well always... very rarely) use, is PowerQuest PartitionMagic, works fine
  8. @swgreed: well maybe for you, but several reported problems with the 'CTZAPXX.exe' part... @lilweirddude: how is that? I too have a BSOD before setup starts (textmode setup I mean by that, else I'd have said before the GUI part of setup), also with all DriverPacks, also with Method 2 (and method 1 too... ) @sonic: erm? What did you want to say?
  9. I've done 3 more tests, this time with Method 2. Here are my results: Note: I'm using DP MassStorage V5.02.1, a not-edited version, because it seemed this wasn't the problem after all. Note 2: tested with Windows XP Professional English, no updates, no apps, ONLY the mentioned DriverPacks, using METHOD 2. All ISO's have been tested on a real life pc. the results: * ONLY DP MassStorage V5.02.1 > to do * ALL DriverPacks > BSOD BEFORE setup starts * ALL DriverPacks EXCEPT MassStorage > everything runs perfect So the conclusion: -AGAIN: the problem resides in the implementation of DriverPack MassStorage. Unfortunately I get two different errors. -so WHAT could be causing this error? NOT a too long OemPnPDriversPath, because I've had the same error with method 2
  10. @swgreed: after all it seems that your remark about quotations, which I already had implemented btw, does not work at all... It seems the if %~dp0 part does not work properly. Untill a better solution is found I'll just use the expand command.
  11. Hehe Well... When did you get that error? I forgot to upload the cmd files to my server that maintain the update system... Please try again and tell me if it still happens... P.S.: @ all means
  12. @swgreed: I already found that one @Ghostrider: hehe... But I won't! ...for now... I've done 3 tests. Here are my results: Note: I'm using DP MassStorage V5.02.1, but an edited version: without the drivers already included in Windows XP, because I thought this could be the problem. Note 2: tested with Windows XP Professional English, no updates, no apps, ONLY the mentioned DriverPacks, using METHOD 1. All ISO's have been tested on a real life pc. the results: ONLY the edited DP MassStorage V5.02.1 > fatal error (like a couple of days ago) ALL DriverPacks (but the edited version of DP MassStorage) > BSOD BEFORE setup starts ALL DriverPacks EXCEPT MassStorage > SUCCESSFULSo the conclusion: -the problem resides in the implementation of DriverPack MassStorage. Unfortunately I get two different errors. -so WHAT could be causing this error? Maybe a too long OemPnPDriversPath? Now I'll do a test with method 2... All 3 again... *sigh*
  13. Well... I can...
  14. Now guess what... After a test in IRL... I got a BSOD TOO!!! Again the one with the code 0x7B... pfff... Now testing with DP MassStorage only. EDIT: I think I've found the cause: source I'll remove all drivers that are natively supported by Win XP and see what the result is... EDIT: without result.... :'( I'm losing hope...
  15. Of course you can rename it...
  16. The Compressing mgabg.exe... Utility.exe==CTZAPXX.exe was unexpected at this time. bug is fixed: adding quotes DID work. I think this is the only bug I can fix for now, because for the BSOD's and the 'file ntkrnlnp.exe could not be loaded. error code is 7' error, I doubt I can do anything about it... Again... let's hope for the best!
  17. Indeed in the wrong thread... And more particularly it only happens with DP Graphics B, and even more specificly with some files in DP\G\M\2, the ones with spaces in it... Working on it... EDIT: fixed!
  18. Uploaded, but not working :s
  19. @Siginet: your solution ISN'T a solution: that way these files won't be recognised... Sorry... I added quotes, hoping that this will work. Testing it right now. @larciel: now WTF is that? Let's hope it was an error in the ISO... @all: Today I have time again to do a COMPLETE test, with a real pc. Let's hope for the best.... That would be seven days to get it stable
  20. HUH? MORE BUGS??? 1. update bug > my mistake: change the var V5026 to V5027 2. Method 1 compression bug > WTF??? I did NOT get this error! 3. BSOD in VMWare > again: I did NOT get this error! It looks like I've something to do tomorrow...
  21. Updated 19th of February 2005 BTS DriverPacks BASE V5.02.7 Download! V5.02.7 (19 Feb 05) -Changed/fixed: eventually I switched to the regular method for the 3ware controllers too. No more errors, but I'm not sure if it works, still needs to be confirmed. -Improved: several 'under-the-hood' components -Improved/fixed: the cleanup process -Fixed: Graphics and Sound Control Panels batch files: the files to be installed were in compressed form when using method 1. -Fixed: again some errors in the txtsetup.oem file -Fixed: identical filename issue for 3ware controllers installed by txtsetup.oem method
  22. Updated 19th of February 2005 DriverPack MassStorage V5.02.1 Download! Changelog: V5.02.1 (19 Feb 05) -Removed: support for VIA Bus Master Ultra ATA Controller because it was causing trouble -Changed: switched to the regular method instead of the txtsetup.oem method for the 3ware drivers. It was causing too much problems. Please report if it works.
  23. It really is amazing! Is it difficult to make it? So... HOW do you make it?
  24. OK, now I'm installing the 3ware drivers with the regular method and no more errors! I'll release it like this later today, but I'm not sure if the 3ware drivers will work. It'd be nice if someone could confirm it then.
