Hi, I'm wondering is that anyway I can uninstall SP2. I have SP2 slipstreamed with my Windows XP CD. I found that SP2 takes up how much resources on my PIII-650 Laptop. I have no $NtServicePackUninstall$ folder, and it's not in add/remove program. How can I uninstall it or downgrade it back sp1. Re-Installing Windows will be my last option. Thank you very much.

I want to know how to remote control a PC which is behind a router (legally). I need to transfer data back and forth from my home pc all the time. Is there any way I can do it? Both of the computers are running Windows XP Professional. Thank you.

I've finally found out what the problem is, i guess my computer is not quite powerful enough. SP2 takes up some much of my computer resources. It froze whenever I plugged my 3com wireless nic card to my computer before I turn it on. Now I have to have my machine on without the nic card, and plug the nic back before windows finished loading. I also have to disable most of third party programs and some microsoft services at startup. Is that possible to have the nic driver load at the end or manually load. Thanks. My Computer Spec. Hi, I've created a WinXP with SP2 Slipstreamed, formatted the hard drive and reinstalled the whole windows. Everything was done yesterday. When I tried to turn to my computer today, it froze after the startup screen. I've the same problem before after I installed SP2. I though there is same software conflict, so I reinstall the whole windows. I found that if I kill of explorer.exe (it shows that is running fine ) in the task manager and restart it. My computer will work again. Does anyone have the same problem? How can I fix it? Please help.

I have recently installed a bluetooth adaptor to my laptop, it created a network adaptor in network connection. whenever i start the computer. It shows cable is unplugged icon at the right bottom corner next to the clock. How can I get rid of it. I tried to disable to network adaptor and it disappeared. Is that a way I can have the adaptor enable but not to show that icon. Thanks.

Hi, I have 2 partitions in my hard drive. C: windows xp, D: backup. I have created a unattended CD to install my windows xp. I like to try new programs, I crashed my windows all the time. I use AutoPartition=0, so I can format my c: and reinstall windows. I want to know is that any way I can format only my c: and reinstall windows and without deleting anything in my d: by adding a script in winnt.sif. Thank you very much.

Hi, I want to know is that possible to have 2 offices in one computer. I'm using windows xp home and office 2003 student and techer edition. I have to sharing my computer with my roommate. I tried to install his office 2003 spainish edition in my d drive. A shortcut was created on the desktop after the installation. The problem is when I tried to launch the shourtcut, the eng office was started. I checked the shortcut, it was linked to the spainish one in my d drive. Please help. Thank you very much.

I have downloaded a zip file from a website. The size of the file is about 15mb. I extracted it the size is over 150mb. I tried to use winzip or winrar to compress a iso. I used the maximum compression. The compressed file is still about 90% of the original size. How can they compress it? Do I have to get any special compression program to do it or only work for certain kind of iso. Anyone knows. Thanks.

I have downloaded and installed the Service Pack 1.3 RC-1 for my Windows 98SE in the virtual PC. My problem is after my system restart. It changed my Windows 98 to some forigen language. Where can I download the English Ver. The file name I have is sesp13cz_rc1.exe. That the only one I found is the website. Did I install it wrong or something.

Normally if you try to access a website which is not existed, IE will go to the html said something like website is not existed, check connection and DNS error(can't remember, sorry). I know that html file is located something in the windows folder. Now whenever I go to a website which is existed. It will go to http://www.internetoptimizer.com. How do I change it back? Thank you.

I tried to include Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer.msi /qn in svcpack.inf, but i still see it in Windows Update. No error message or anything during installation.

Hi, I'm thinking to use iexpress to repackage the journal viewer, so I can use svcpack.inf to install it. There is the error message, when i try to test it in windows. Error creating process <jv.msi /qn>. Reason: INDOWS\System32\advpack.dll Did I do something wrong? :/

Hi, I'm wondering is there an advantage to use svcpack.inf instead of hotfixes.cmd? I know some hotfixes is not supported by svcpack. If we have to hotfixes.cmd anyway, why not use it installing every hotfixes? Hotfixes.cmd is much more easier to use.
