  1. Couldnt you use wininstall aswell? Or winrite for that matter.
  2. And instead of bieng an a** you could also have the patience for members to reply!! I have all the patience in the world... And you only had a day to do so....
  3. Instead of putting the drivers into the drivers folder I chose to put the installers of the ATI drivers in the install folder and run them with a batch command... The files are installshield ones. When I look in the folders ATI has already made I see that they already have setup.iss files, could it be that they have added unattended support when they created the driver installations folders so I dont have to use the "setup.exe -R" method?
  4. Instead of looking 16 times you could also reply... Will I get problems if I try to install the msi setups I created on a VMware machine on my actual machine?
  5. Is it recommended to let setup, after finishing the installation of all the applications, delete the %systemdrive%/Install/... folders using the deltree command launched by a .cmd file at the end of the batch? I figured this could be easily done because the files would be in the way anyway...
  6. havent tested it though ;-)... will do so later, if you get to test it before me or have already used it please tell me if it works or not...
  7. I dont know if anyone knew about it but I found it just now after installing nero on a VmWare pc... I thought I might share it... To register nero automatically after installing it during the batch unattended use the following register key: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\Info] "Serial6"="xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" I named mine regnero.reg and added it to my start.cmd like this: ECHO. ECHO Registering Ahead Nero Burning Rom v6.3... REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\Install\Application\nero\regnero.reg pretty basic stuff...
  8. Sorry nevermind it probably in the setup.iss ... -offtopic- I think this would be a very easy method for people who only use a computer for a couple of games or maybe for internet cafe pc's... -offtopic-
  9. How do you insert the cd-key into it when you use your method?
  10. too proud to admit a inperfection? haha anyway nice post, really helped me (am a new at this (though not a newb )...
  11. Instead of finding them on the cd you could use nLite to make a smaller windows XP installation and just leave those parts out ;-)... nLite can even make the cd unattended for you... I combination with the described method of creating a unattended cd you can make a whole lot of changes to the cd... The Unattended Application, Update, drivers, etc, installations will work aswell... Its great, I saved around 250mb of useless crap..oh I mean less pleasant stuff from the cd and the total final installation of XP... -or something like that... cut me some slack, its 4:43 -
  12. Instead of using different strings and commands to install Direct connect, kazaa lite and Bittorent I used WinInstall LE (mentioned in the tutorial) to create one custom installer to install all three. I made this installer on a fresh VMWare installation of windows xp... It works fine when i test it (it makes the very easy to switch msi format files) on the same machine (by uninstalling the apps and then reinstalling them using a .cmd file unattended)... I think though that this isnt really the way you should install programs... Does anyone know if this form of installing applications which are harder to switch normally is a good way or should I try it differently?
  13. Couldnt be bothered to read it... Consider using paragraphs so people can actually be f*cked to read it....
  14. Wat is eigenlijk het voordeel van RunOnce? What is the advantage of Runonce? Because at the moment i am working on creating a big start.cmd but if someone tells me there is some big difference i might stop now in the middle and convert... Also, what do you need for RunOnce? Where do you need to state it... I read the instructions clearly ofcourse but I think I skipped something...
