  1. Thank you soooooo much for the reply it really helped!
  2. I have 2 questions first of witch is a bit off-topic but i will ask anyway, Installing SATA drivers: I press F6 and insert the driver disk and load the driver so that windows setup sees the SATA HDD but when setup goes to copy over the driver for the installation of windows it cant find the driver files (I did not remove the driver disk form the floppy drive) so my first question is how do i make it copy over the drivers form the floppy? I thought i should just add the drivers to my XP DVD but i have been unable to do so as of yet. I have read the offical guide and have searched the forums but still connot figure it out. I have a "Promise FastTrak TX2200" controller i have downloaded (and put onto another floppy) the new drivers from the Promise website. I can upload copys of my txtsetup.sif and winnt.sif if need be.
  3. Thanks to Cartoonite and egrath for the help I guess the problem is a known issue with the mobo, I have sence fixed the problem...
  4. I just installed Windows on a newly built PC and when i plug in a network cable form my router (of witch i have 2 other computers connected to) windows goes through the normal "accuiring network address" after witch I duble click on the icon in the tray (Local Area Connection) and it says "Automatic Private Address" and it gives the following info: IP 169.254.229.234 Subnet Mask 255.255.0.0 It only sometimes connects to my router (IP 96.96.156.1 subnet mask 255.255.255.0)
  5. Any Idea on how to change the background image you see when you do a scandisk by rebooting.. See Pic above
  6. @InTheWayBoy That did the trick! Thank you.
  7. I have a few computers connected in a network (3 XP Pro and 1 Server 2003), I also have several network shares set up on my XP machines (can access the files/folders just fine form any computer on the network) but i want to set up a network share on my server 2003 machine but i cannot access the shares from my other computers. I keep getting the same error <server name>"is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the admin of this server to find out if you have access permissions." "logon failure: user account restriction. Possible reasons are blank passwords not allowed, logon hour restrictions, or a policy restriction has been enforced" How do i change this so that I can access this folder from any computer on the network without having to worry about user names and passes like I can with my network shares on my XP computers? Also when I tryed to access the folder form my noteboook (XP Pro/wireless) I was prompted by a logon dialog of witch i typed in the servers user name and pass and was able to access the network share like normal, non of my other computers have gave me this prompt.
  8. Can I install it via an inf file. If so how would i call it in my batch file and what lines would I have to delete to have it just install "party mode"? I have attached a copy of the inf file... PLUSOC.rar
  9. ok Will do. I will report back with the results... Well it does install DME silently, but it installed all of the apps included in DME not just the ones i specified whilst making the mst. What really want it to install is just Party mode and nothing else.
  10. ok Tsunami, I will try it... I cannot get it to work. I tryed it the same way as i did for office %systemdrive%\install\apps\DME\setup.exe transforms=%systemdrive%\install\apps\DME\dme.mst /qn but it did not work.
  11. Thanks prathapml, but I got a program for Office 2003 to make an MST but where do I find a program to make an MST for DME?
  12. What I want to do is install Plus! DME but i only want to install certain components of it and do it silently. How do I go about doing this?
  13. I want to be able to use a modified shell32.dll, and explorer.exe files in my unattended XP install how do i go about doing this? I have tried putting them in \$OEM$\$$\System32 but when setup goes to the gui part of setup it errors.
