[M2] replaced real setup by a fake one, copied presetup.cmd... [M2] WINNT.SIF updated... [M2] TXTSETUP.SIF and DOSNET.INF files updated... DriverPack MassStorage NOT slipstreamed! back-up of portcly.sys made... ###################################" What could be going wrong with the MassStorage drivers?
  2. hey ho, I've read all topics about how to include an Visual Style and make it the default theme, them I built a VS (using StyleBuilder) and followed all the the procedures I've found (one by one, of course ) and everytime I install XP (via VMWare) I see it using the Windows classic theme... what could be going wrong? PS- I haven't added any registry tweaks concerning VS PPS- the theme XP uses is correct, the sound scheme, icons and pointers are right, except the VS.
  3. in my unattended setup the wizard also pops up during the RunOnceEX part... does anybody has a solution for this?
  4. hey there, I just finished a theme (visual style + icons + pointers), configured WINNT.SIF to set it as the default theme, although after the XP first logon only the new icons and pointers are correct, the visual style XP uses is Windows Classic. All the VS files are in the correct folders as well the .theme config... what can be going wrong?

  11. hey, is there a sure way to do an unanttended install of the Adobe Video Collection? Or, at least, Premiere Pro 1.5, Encore DVD 1.5 and After Effects 6.5? Everytime I try one of the methods suggested here in the forum via RunOnceEx it looks like the apps are being installed but they aren't
  12. hey there, I just formatted my HD an reinstalled WinXP SP2. Before I do that I moved all the important files to a RAID 0 partition but now when I try to access the folders I receive the message: "D:\folder is not accessible. Access is denied" how can I solve this? I REALLY need those files tks
  13. hm... but the setup don't show those two options, it only shows "Silicon Image SiI 3112 SATARaid Controller"...
  14. sveneric > that is done, that's why I reinstaalled XP in a third HD (a PATA one) and right now I can use the RAID 0 disks... the problem is I can't install XP in it...
  15. ... and now "A disk read error occurred"
  16. MrTea > I loaded the drivers in the beggining of the setup (in fact I'd slipstreamed them)... Last time I tried to install XP I got the message "NTLDR is missing" after the first setup reboot
  17. not really... My motherboard is an Abit NF7-S and it has a Silicon Image 3112A RAID Controller, I heard this controller needs some extra steps in XP setup. Is it right?
  18. hey there, I just bought a second Seagate Barruca 200GB SATA hard disk, first in installed it normally, no problem except the fact Windows XP SP2 didn't found it so I had to format it via Partition Magic. Then it worked perfectly. Then I built a RAID 0 array (with a cluster size of 4kb or 64kb) and began a clean XP install. So here start the problems: - the setup didn't recognize as a 400GB HD but as a two 200 GB just like no RAID were set up. Even so I tried to install XP in one of the two discs shown but after the first setup part the system was rebooted and that's it. Everything I saw was a blank screen... So, am I doing something wrong? Please, reply as soon as you can tks
  19. hey there, I'm building a multi-boot DVD and need to know what must I do to Driverspacks works this way, what I need to change, etc. tks
  20. the DVD-RW works pretty fine if I burn anothers things in it and even with Multi-Boot DVD burned in as long while I test it with VMWare, the problem only happens if I boot via CD Shell. I test the image with VMWare and it also works perfectly... the weird thing is that another Multi-Boot DVD I've built before worked without any problem, even if I really boot from it... I'll try to download CD Shell again and the replace it files
  21. Hey there, I've just (finally) finished my Multi-boot DVD, burned it a DVD-RW and tested it with VmWare, it works perfectly but everytime I try to really boot from it CD Shell starts normally but then I choose to install Win XP Pro SP2 and it says it can't boot 'cos it can't read from device. What can be happening? tks
  22. here's my RunOnceEx method: REG ADD %KEY%\086 /VE /D "Norton Internet Security 2005" /f REG ADD %KEY%\086 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\NIS2005\SYMSETUP.EXE /O REBOOT=ReallySuppress /qb" /f it will ask for the serial only after the system is restarted
  23. hey guys, anybody has found some way to silently install Adobe After Effects 6.5 or Adobe Audition 1.5? Since After Effects' instaler is a .msi file I haven't found a way to register it Audition uses a Install Shield installer but it don't use a abcpy.ini file like the other Adobe's softwares and the -s switch don't work... any help?
