  1. Is it possible to do an unattended installation of a network printer (Vista has the necessary drivers)? I have found this kb article but it's for XP and since it invokes some DLL, I don't think it will work on Vista.
  2. I recall reading that you need a Risetup image of the OS you're going to create Riprep images for. Is this true? I can't find any information on it now. If my memory serves me correct Riprep uses the Risetup image as a "base" to save space (no duplicate system files).... Am I right?
  3. Actually it's an update to an application. Executable names of both versions are the same..
  4. I figured a good way to install an application on multiple machines, is to put instructions for it in the login script that these machines use. However, this way the application will be installed every time the user logs on. What are some good ways of detecting if the application has been installed yet? (and if so: skip the installation) Perhaps checking for specific registry entries, or files that are unique to that version of a certain application.... Anything else? How would you do it? (code please )
