Hi All Wondered if somebody could help me, im trying to open Access and create a new DB but after say 10 secs it crashes and restarts constantly, cant see anything in the error log file or in the event log and its getting really annoying, tryed taking Office off completely and reinstalling it with no joy Anyone had this problem Phil

Thanks guys for all your advice, i have told him to change his system but i wanted to salvage the P4 really so all he needed was a new Motherboard, looks like he will have to get a new system now me is thinking Thanks anyway fellas Phil

At the moment he has got a P4 2gig with 256mb ram its a Packard Bell Ixtreme 9810 if you want more details

Hi Guys Just wondering if i could ask for a little help and advice Got a bit of a problem, a friend of mine has bought a computer from somewere a good 3-4 years ago, he wanted a upgrade on his memory so asked if id help out, after opening it up i noticed its actually RIMM's inside so i set about trying to get hold of some, they are very expensive so said he would be better changing his motherboard The current socket is 423 so yesterday i went the computer fair to see if i could get a replacment board, after speaking to the man he explained that the 423 socket is now no longer in use and id need to buy a new system, after looking this up on the net i have seen that the 423 is now no longer in use and has been taken over by 478, i was wondering if a 423 chip can go into a 478 motherboard if i got one from somewere? Any advice on this subject would be very gratefully received guys Thanks Phil

Hi Everyone Wondering if somebody could help me out here, or if anyone else has had this problem, ive got a user who is switching on Out of Office and then going out of the office for a few days, when she returns and boots up Outlook she isnt getting a reminder that out of office is still on, here messages shes receiving are then just getting the default reply that she is still out, she is having to go into out of office and manually switch it off, ive go a reminder that pops up when i do this Any ideas were the settings are to put the reminder message back onto her machine Thanks guys Phil

What the hell is WoW ?

I bought this card without really looking into what it was, i just seen 128mb on the side and the price and thought that will do for me, its a ok card but i tryed to play Call of Duty 2 and i swear i heard laughing coming from my case Anyway looking now at a upgrade so i can play FEAR and Veitcong 2, any suggestions guys? Havent played it yet but just seen the spec's for it and man does that take some machine to run it, looks cool though can see a video card upgrade coming on

Hi Guys Wondering if someone could help me out here, just got a NVDIA Geforce fx 5200 128mb which to be honest isnt the greatest card ive ever seen, seen it on a website really cheap and just thought sod it ill go for it Was wondering i am now going to do this properly and actually look into which card im buying, does anyone have any recommendations on which way i should be looking, is NVDIA the way or not and what cards around £100 are best for their price, i kinda had the thought of so long as its got more memory then the one ive already got then it will be better Could someone share their expertise please Cheers Phil
