  1. Maybe they would. DirectX library is universal. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> haha Yeah right. It's directx 10 which only works on vista. Yeah not even WinXP. DirectX 10 is not even released yet, n00b. It's currently only in testing phase. And when it's released, Microsoft isn't just going to dump the rest of the OSes except Vista. Not all people are rich enough to "get with the program", spoiled n00b. And even so, it's hard to "get with the program" when Windows Vista isn't even released yet.
  2. Not all of them. For example, video files still can't be opened directly, the only options are Save or Cancel.
  3. Maybe they would. DirectX library is universal.
  4. The same reason you asked me this question twice, in both threads. Now all you need to do is answer your own question, it shouldn't be too hard, even for a n00b.
  5. Here are some Windows Vista Games screenshots: http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/pc/windows-vi...hots-125656.php
  6. I was wondering if it's possible to remove newly introduced security components of IE6 from WinXP Service Pack 2 and Win2k3 Service Pack 1. I hate all the new nag screens intended for n00bs warning me about every little nonsense. So I was wondering if there's a way to turn IE6 the way it was before the new SP with SP installed?
  7. Did anyone manage to extract those new versions of games from Windows Vista (Beta) and made it available for public? Maybe even made it possible to install or even to replace the current old versions of games (Minesweeper, etc.) in XP?
  8. So I guess there's no way to remove those new IE additions that come with new OS Service Packs...

  10. You mean First and Last warning. No problem. B)
  11. All my HDD partitions were formatted by using a Windows XP operating system. Yourself?
  12. That would be a hard thing to do, since I want a clean install on my primary NTFS formatted partition.
  13. You don't need "Desktop" to run your software. You only need a command line, which you get from the Task Manager already mentioned above.
  14. More popular Firefox gets, more of a target it will become for spammers. Thankfully, IE still holds its share above 90%, thus concentrating most of the spammers on it. Firefox is not bulletproof, no software is. Besides, read my signature.
  15. Well, if you'd have posted this before when you actually cared to fix the problem instead of just blindly formating the HDD and thus never learning any experience from it on how to fix something like that, then you could've tried our suggestions and see whether that would fix it or not. But now that that is over, you'll never know what was wrong, unless you manage to magically recreate the same conditions as before. But that would most likely only cause you to panic all over again and reformat the drive.
  16. So, what was the point of this topic?
  17. Did you try deleting the profile folder?
  18. You tell him what he's doing wrong, yet you repeat his mistake. What does that tell you about your intelligence? Another n00b pwned! B) Now, if we could get back on the topic...
  19. why should he change his avatar <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The message in my avatar bothers him. Another n00b pwned! B)
  20. I'm trying to install it from HDD only (from FAT partition), without the CD drive.
  21. I copied i386 folder to HDD and ran winnt.exe from DOS.
  22. No, I'm trying to install it from HD (Hard Drive).
