  1. My board is using the Silicon Image 3112a drivers. Do they differ from the 3112? I was unable to find this out. Please let me know. Thanks Web. Brian
  2. Yes it should. Fixed that performing a clean install will post when finished if any of the suggestions above worked. Anymore things anyone sees wrong? Also so why does nothing have to be inserted into the winnt.sif file refrencing the Cmdlines.txt? Just did not know how the install knows to look there. B
  3. Ok removed "AutoAdminLogon"="1" but will be a while before i can complete a new install and test it. I found this information here http://board.MSFN.org/index.php?showtopic=...ate%20user&st=0 [GuiRunOnce] %systemdrive%\install\main_batch.cmd is my batch file that installs all my apps. Here is a copy of it: CLS @echo off ECHO. The computer will restart automatically ECHO once the whole process has finished! ECHO. Use this entry when performing a clean install of the operating system as the first step in building a master installation, which you then plan to duplicate onto multiple destination computers. You must place the OPK tools in the %systemdrive%\Sysprep folder. I really dont think i need this command i am removing it from the winnt.sif file. I will post if your suggestion worked or not. If anyone else has any suggestin let me know. Thanks B
  4. Ok here is the problem i nearly have my auto install completed. I am having one problem. I decided it would be best to create a user and have him log in automaticly before the install of all my apps. When i set up a user account my install continues however the account is not created and windows is in classic mode when it completes the final restart. It was not in classic mode before i attempted to add the new user. Also i tried the install with and without the reg file and both completed with the same result as described about so i dont believe the reg file is the prob but i could be wrong. I read thru many pages and here is what i came up with: $OEM$ -Cmdlines.txt -user.cmd -Reg_Root_tweaks.reg Cmdlines.txt looks like this: [COMMANDS] ".\user.cmd" user.cmd looks like this: CLS @ECHO OFF ECHO Adding Default User... net user "Brian A. Cox /add net localgroup "administrators" "Brian A. Cox" /add ECHO. ECHO Applying Root Registry Tweaks... REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\install\Reg_Root_Tweaks.reg ECHO. Reg_Root_tweaks.reg looks like this: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ;This will allow you to autologin. ;Replace InsertName value with the Username you want to autologin with. ;Replace InsertPassword value with the password corresponding to the Username specified. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "DefaultUserName"="Brian A. 8. I read a post in the sitches thread by aaron but it did not make a lot of since. How would i go about installing this app silently in my batch file? Thanks Brian
  9. Nevermind got it to work using the /Y command. Thanks all
  10. Ok it is still prompting me asking me if i want to overight the file or not
  11. Ok i fixed the problem added -SMS before the -s and this tells the app to complete before continuing. You should add this info to your unattend page. Hope this helps someone else. Brian
  12. Ok here is my apps.cmd info for this section: CLS @echo off ECHO. ECHO Installing Adobe Photoshop 7 ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Photoshop\setup.exe -s -f1"%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Photoshop\setup.iss" ECHO. ECHO Office 2003 ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Office2003\Setup.exe TRANSFORMS=C:\install\Applications\Office2003\Unattended.MST /qb- ECHO. EXIT It does not matter what app i have after photoshop the batch does not wait for photoshop to complete. Photoshop is however still installing. I can tell this by watching the adobe folder grow and the icons show up for it. So it is definitly installing adobe and the next app at the same time. (just wanted to put this in there to rule out comments about it not installing the first app and continueing to the second) Anyone have any solutions? Thanks Brian

  14. Ok i am doing an silent install of Quickbooks 2003 and running into a problem. The app uses installshield so i installed it copied the setup.iss and then hit the restart button. This app does not give you an option for yes or no on the restart. I then used the setup.iss to do a silent install. The app then installed silently but at the end it pops up a window completing installation and it then proceeds to uninstall the app. The reason i know this is because the icon for the app shows up on the desktop and then disappears. Any ideas anyone? Thanks Brian
  15. Can you give me an example of what it would look like to copy a file over to replace another file? Thanks
  16. Ok after i complete my apps.bat i want to copy several files over to different directories. They will be replacing files already there. This is probally very simple but i could not find it anywhere. Thanks Brian
  17. Ok i am auto installing intervideo xpack. I will autoinstall but it still asks for the registration information. I installed it using setup.exe -R and copied the setup.iss to the directory of setup.exe but it is still prompting me to enter the serial. Here is a copy of my setup.iss [installShield Silent] Version=v6.00.000 File=Response File [File Transfer] OverwrittenReadOnly=NoToAll [{99755640-9633-11D5-AB3C-0050DAB311CC}-DlgOrder] Dlg0={99755640-9633-11D5-AB3C-0050DAB311CC}-SdWelcome-0 Count=4 Dlg1={99755640-9633-11D5-AB3C-0050DAB311CC}-SdLicense-0 Dlg2={99755640-9633-11D5-AB3C-0050DAB311CC}-SdFinish-0 Dlg3={99755640-9633-11D5-AB3C-0050DAB311CC}-SdFinish-1 [{99755640-9633-11D5-AB3C-0050DAB311CC}-SdWelcome-0] Result=1 [{99755640-9633-11D5-AB3C-0050DAB311CC}-SdLicense-0] Result=1 [{99755640-9633-11D5-AB3C-0050DAB311CC}-SdFinish-0] Result=1 bOpt1=0 bOpt2=0 [{99755640-9633-11D5-AB3C-0050DAB311CC}-SdFinish-1] Result=1 bOpt1=0 bOpt2=0 What do i need to do to add the registration info to the setup.iss so it will install unattended? 21. Well i did get it to install however i have a couple of questions about configuring it. Does anyone know where either in office xp or office 2003 location to turn off the language bar would be? This is in office there is an option to turn on or off or add shortcuts to the desktop and all of that jazz. Also does anyone know how to turn off in excel when you click on a hyperlink it gives you a message saying Hyperlinks can be harmful to your computer are you sure you want to proceed. 24. Ok i have been slipstreaming my hotfixes into sp1 home without any problems now that i am using sp1a pro i am having issues. When i finally make it into windows there are about 5 folders created on the root directory with a whole lot of numbers in the folder name and update.exe in the folder and it wont let me delete these folders and when i click update.exe it says it is missing the required ini file to run the update. What is causing these folders to show up all the sudden? I am using the latest do.cmd to create the slipstream. Here is a list of the updates i am using: KB329441.EXE 1\KB821557.EXE 1\KB824105.EXE 1\KBB24142.EXE 1\Q323255_.EXE 1\Q328310_.EXE 1\Q329048_.EXE 1\Q329115_.EXE 1\Q329170_.EXE 1\Q329390_.EXE 1\Q329834_.EXE 1\Q331953_.EXE 1\Q810565_.EXE 1\Q810577_.EXE 1\Q810833_.EXE 1\Q811493_.EXE 1\Q811630_.EXE 1\Q814033_.EXE 1\Q815021_.EXE 1\Q817606_.EXE 20 file(s) copied. 2\js56nen.EXE 2\q330994.EXE 2\Q817287.EXE 2\q822925.EXE 2\vbs56nen.EXE 2\WindowsM.EXE 6 file(s) copied. 3\Q823718_.cmd 1 file(s) copied. 3\Q823718_.EXE Please someone assist me asap.
