Ive copyed the shell32.dl_ cabinet from I386 and then ive expandit, then after ive modded ive makecab-it back and the copied back to I386, so is not another copy there.

Ive modded my shell32.dll with reshack, makecabit, copied to I386 folder, and tested the windows but the icons are stiil the defaults.Whats the problem? Srry for my eng

I copy the shell32.dl_ from my XP Pro + SP 2 + Hotfixes sorce into an folder named The Lab, and the i i expand it, then i use res hack to replace some icons then i makecab-it and then i copy-it back to the XP Ua I386 folder. I make the iso, and no icons chages, stiil the deafult icons. And i dont use ryanwn update, just SP2, wich i integrate using nlite, and some hotfixes. Srry for my eng. Now, do u guys have any ideea how to make the modiffied shell work? Thanx

Can anyone help me with my problem. I repeat : I edited shell32.dll with my favorite icons then makecab-it and then put it on my Ua CD in i386 and after ive tested the XP, no icons changes, still the default icons. I'm really p***ed off because of this, anyone says that they customize their shell32.dll the makecabit and then they put it on their Uacd and it works for them. Whats wrong ? Yes, but what file do i need to makecab, because ive copied the shell32.dll from my sytem32, i opened it with reshack, and no icons are changed, i think that icon packager has some kind of shell, and when you unnistall it the xp shell32.dll became active and the defaut icons are aplied. Now if the above miniguide worked for u and you want to add the logon screen to your Ua CD, then do this. copy the logon exe in the $OEM$\$$\system32 folder. create a reg file or if u already have one, add this entry to you reg file [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] UIHost="%systemroot%\system32\yourlogoname.exe" Now that worked for me so it should work for u too. Not if you do this: When you click the download button check the file format, usually its an .exe file, and that contains spyware, but....by canceling, and click download again...and canceling about 3 times, u get the .zip file wich is clean of spyware and u just need to extract it after u downloaded it. And of course after u refused 3 download messages, u dont have to do the same think on another file, because now its gives u only zip files...so no spyware. Anyway i found how to change the logonscreens downloaded from themexp.org 1-extract the exe file in Windows\system32\ and rename it it to logon11.exe. 2-Start regedit, by clicking the start button then click the run and type in there regedit. 3-From the left navigate to this subkey [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 4-In the right search for the key named UIHost and double click it. 5-type in the name of the logon you renamed (in this example it was "logon11.exe" 6-Reboot and enjoy. One more thing, i think that in themexp.org, at the logon screen sections the names of logons have a star * in the title, i think thats for the xp with service pack, so download a logon for you type of xp. Ive downloaded a logon screen from themexp.org, ive extracted the archive and it gives me an blablabla.exe file. Now how i add it on my Ua CD.

K, ive downloaded some cursors from themexp.prg , then ive extracted and ive found that they are in " .curzip" format, now what should i do with them, ive copied them in windows\cursors but, i cant find them in the pointer settings? can anyone help Srry for my eng

Ok i used RegShot and take the 1st shot of my reg iediatly after ive installed XP. Then ive personalized my taskbar by : -unchecking "Lock the taskbar" -checking "show quicklanuch" -unchecking "hide inactive icons" -unchecking "Internet" and "email" Next, ive taken the 2nd shot of my registry with regshot to compare and save the changes into a .reg file. Ok, i usually make 2 profiles after ive installed xp. One for internet, with AV, Yahoomsg, Etc. And another for games, with only the essential services started, but what im asking is this? Normaly if you remove lets say Yahoo msg from the startup items, its removed from both profiles, so is there any way to configure the startup items for each profile?

Heres what im asking. After the setup.cmd install the apps, i want another batch that copy lets say some skins for winamp in the C:\Program Files\winamp\skins, but i dont know the commands very well. Can anyone help me with this? thanx

Ok, i just want to know is there one of this: a program that create some sort of batch that u can ran it at the batch app install after the setup. Heres what the program i want to do. Ex: lets say after ive installed xp i open lets say Xvid installer.And when I press the buttons Next, Yes , Install , Close , that program (if theres one) to create some sort of batch, setup, etc that i can add to the setup.cmd , to run at the xp apps setup.
