  1. So, that's what you need: search for these files: sccbase.dll sccsccp.dll slbcsp.dll slbiop.dll (end, of course, wmasf.dll & wmidx.dll). Copy them ino windows\system32!
You were missing a file! You also need to copy slbrccsp.dll to the computer!

    Thank you, sirs :thumbup

  2. ...only we install machines day in day out over here and what I was going to do was create a custom Disk for 2000 and XP and include as much of teh software as possbile that we install with every machine (things like winzip, pdf creator acrobat reader etc) include the common drivers then make it all unattended apart from the License Key screen

Then with all teh computers we just pop this disk in away installation goes, gets to License key we type the correct one in for that machine then away it goes again doing the rest of it I reckon it will cut down the time of reinstalling a machine by about half an hour and make our lifes alot easyier but is it actually legal to do that?

Sounds to me like you're doing this commercially, ie, for a business? I believe this violates nLites license?

  3. Also, it appears as tho the images where the backgrounds have been replaced (with a darker gradient) look to have pixelated edges?

Would be greatful if you could point out which backgrounds look pixelated... You are correct, that is how I created the black backgrounds.

Probably just me being picky (the Wizards in your first post screenshot is an indication of some of the pixelated edges).

Like I said, not a big deal tho, just me being picky!

Looking forward to the next release :)

  4. Question if i may...

Can this be slipstreamed into an Unattended CD like Xpize can? Or do I need to slipstream Xpize and then run this once Windows has been installed?

Also, it appears as tho the images where the backgrounds have been replaced (with a darker gradient) look to have pixelated edges?

  5. why did u drop IE6 support??? :(

Because sometimes, you just have to move with the times...

Looking good XPero.. I'd have to agree with a few others tho, definately need a progress bar of sorts for boot screen.

    Cheers

  6. WHY WE CANT INTEGRATE PROGRAMS LIKE WINAMP,WINRAR THROUGH N-LITE ? I KNOW THAT THERE IS OTHER WAY TO DO THIS THINGS. BUT WHY N-LITE CANT DO THIS THINGS ? IN THIS WAY IF WE CAN ADD SOME PROGRAM USING N-LITE THEN IT WILL BE GREAT!

I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT ADD ON PACKS TO SLIPSTREAM BUT AUTOMATICALLY N-LITE SHOULD CREATE $OEM$ FOLDERS & RUNONCEEX.CMD LIKE WISE.

    THANKS.............................................................

Do you have any idea how difficult that would be - to create a way to intergrate 1000's upon 1000's of apps?!

And what is wrong with addon packs - they work flawlessly when created correctly.

I'm hoping nLite will include some form of anti-CAPS typing mechanism in a future release

  7. What's the general consensus on v1.3 RC2; is it stable enough for productive use?

Also, if there are any stability issues, they will most likely come up during the installation, right? (I don't wanna end up having some mysterious problems further down the line... )

I'm using 1.3RC2 as my desktop without any problems.

The importnat thing is to obviously NOT remove anything that you may need. If you don't know what it does or if you may need it, keep it.

As for stability issues, they could appear anywhere, anytime, depending on what you've removed etc.

Play it safe and your chances of a useful fully functioning slimmed down Windows install are great :thumbup
