  1. From what i understand your still believes your old nic is still installed with that IP on it ....maybe an alternative to the batch in the future would be reboot in safe mode and open up device manager go to network adapters and try removing it from there. If im right the old adapter should show up in there....not sure but its worth a try.
  2. Definatly go with at least 512 MB.....MS says the miniumum is 128....ive run it on 64MB on my test machine for the hell of it and it still ran but slow as hell
  3. Ya im going to let soyo know about this problem first then go from there.....its just recently started doing it with pdfs and some streaming video clips.
  4. well...i used the flash uninstaller and uninstalled flash this weekend and then something ....Different happend....on the flash website as soon as it was installed at the flash site and the little flash animation poped up and said flash has been sucessfully installed....it restarted...it never usually did it that fast.....so im kinda lost
  5. well for my ati card i have a vga and dvi port and i just ordered a dvi to vga adapter ....so now i only need my ati card to have my dual display taking the geforce card out of the picture ....then i'll just reformat all together keeping the geforce far away from the computer and out of the picture for good and hopefully that will solve that one problem like u said but like i said.....for the new install i did with the other hard drive the radeon card was not installed and had nothing to do with that installation of windows only the geforce was and it still restarted when i went to movies.yahoo.com when flash was installed....and ive been testin it the past few days to make sure that that was the cause, so i went about a day straight with the computer on, surfing the web without flash installed....and no restarts but as soon as flash was installed ....it still restarted......i think it might be time to reach in my pockets for a new machine if i dont get this thing figured out soon. God **** u flash
  6. the crazy thing about that one martin is that even though it was the ati driver that messed up my system.....during the times of the error and blue screen my ati card was sitting on my desk not anywheres near the system....ive had the geforce in it for the past few days to troubleshoot it so somehow it seems to be a conflict problem....so im thinkin of just reformatting and keepin in the ati card....but i have a feeling the flash problem is an entirely different problem then the blue screen problem...:-/ ....this def sucks....i can fix everyone elses computer but my own....
  7. Minidumps.rarOk i left my computer on all last nite ...and didnt surf the net or anything on it ....and woke up to a blue screen ....didnt take down the code but im attaching the mini dumps ....yes mini dumpS as in plural ....not sure if theres supposed to have 3 files from one crash or if it just happened more then once and i didnt know but last time i checked i didnt have this folder .....so here they are if anyone can make any sense out of them for me cuz i dont know how to read them. Thanks
  8. only problem is that it doesnt blue screen.......but then again it did blue screen this morning for the first time ever.....so i have no idea
  9. quick question about debugging again....what is a null modem cable?...because in the txt it instructs you to do the following 1. If you want to debug kernel-mode code, set up a host computer to run the debugger and a target computer to run the code being debugged. Connect the two computers using either an IEEE 1394 cable or a null-modem cable between two serial ports.
  10. how do i do a debug with another machine?
  11. i already unchecked the restart on error check box and it still just restarts no matter what ....no bluescreen or codes to look up...as for the minidump ....i think im going to look at that when i get home
  12. it happens with other flash sites also like it did it one day with msn.com and other sites also....but i know for a fact that movies.yahoo.com makes it restart every time....if it is that the version is incompatable ..where do i get previous versions?....sry for the cross posts....
  13. For the clean install of XP i only had one GFX card installed.....So it wasnt a matter of clashing at all because it wasnt even present.....that crossed my mind thats why i did the clean install with only one card
  14. I despereatly need help.....ive tried everything....i have a : -soyo sy-tisu motherboard -celeron 1.4Ghz processor -Radeon 9200SE 128mb agp -Nvidia geforce 2 pci 64mb -Sound blaster live! 5.1 -linksys 10/100 NIC -512MB pc 133 Ram -I/O magic dvd dual layer burner -250GB western digital HD -450W psu -XP PRO SP 2 (2 Graphics Cards for dual display....double checked that the drivers wouldnt conflict so that isnt the issue either) The problem is my computer keeps restarting everytime i go to movies.yahoo.com ....or certain other sites that have flash in them......ive done many things to narrow down the problem....took all the cards out but one or the other graphics cards.....after months of trouble trying to figure it out im out of ideas.....ive swaped out ram flashed the bios ...got a new psu stripped it down bare ......adn still everytime it restarts...so i figured lets start new and see what happens....i got a spare hard drive ...reformatted it.....and installed windows XP with a different XP disk then the previous install....then installed SP2 cuz it wasnt installed yet and then went to yahoo movies and nothing happened....but flash wasnt installed.....so i installed flash and went to the site and bang instantly it restarted....also the MSN site made it restart so my guess is its some kinda plugin problem....it also does it with firefox....i have the newest version of flash installed and still restarts...i have no clue how to fix this.....someone please help!!! ive hadmonths of headaches and i need to get this thing running smooth before i go away to college. (People have sugested a few things that i have tried below and its still restarting) ...Ive updated the bios from the soyo site to the newest version that they have and i have been getting flash plugin from the macromedia site .....i jus type in www.flash.com and get it from there ....i just tried setting my windows to blue screen on error instead of just restarting and after i go to movies.yahoo.com it just restarts ....it doesnt even blue screen ....for the time being i only have one GFX card in so i can solve this problem but i have tried it both with only the Geforce in and updated drivers and only the Radeon in with updated drivers and still it reboots If anyone has any other sugestions that i can do then PLEASE let me know.....im dieing for ideas....
