Everything posted by Snowflake

  1. Well, it appears to be a problem with a missing service, because I redid the disc and removed only minimal services and added back in a few system components that seemed possibly suspect. Everything is working fine now.
  2. Okay, I realize this has been posted before, but I'm having the same problem as before. I've searched and checked around to see what could possibly be the problem, and it seems I've removed nothing that should be affecting the NSC, but I can't open it. Any ideas? Attached is last_session file. Last_Session.ini
  3. Wouldn't it be a *lot* faster just to buy some RAM?
  4. Turns out it was one of the addons I was using, though I'm still not sure which one specifically. All is well now, no problems, everything is working as expected.
  5. I've been trying out various combinations of options all day, but since you suggested that you tried this exact config minus the addons, I did the same, and what do you know? It works. I tried a similar config with just the latest RyanVM addon pack, and it appears the issue lies there. I don't have the error log for that test, unfortunately, I'll get back to you.
  6. AFAIK, XAMPP is a self-contained entity requiring no elements outside of itself. I've been running XAMPP on my nLited installs for a while now with no issues.
  7. I'm using the latest version of nLite. Everything seems good BUT, the remote tab is missing in System properties and terminal services is not installed in the services panel. I explicity selected "Remote Desktop" in the compatibility tab, but it is still missing in my test install in VMWare. Attached is my config file. Any ideas are appreciated, thanks Last_Session.ini
  8. Yes, the Close TCP Port 445 patch shuts of SMB, follow the instructions to re-enable it to turn Samba back on.
  9. I've just tested with a known good XP disc (non-nLited). My conclusion thus far is that the Omega ATI Radeon drivers have a bug which only affects systems which have not previously had ATI drivers on them.
  10. Yeah, I was starting to come to that conclusion. I've made nearly half a dozen different discs, with various options. At first I suspected it was a missing service or the latest RyanVM update pack, so I made a disc to test. So far, no good. If I find the problem, I'll post it for reference.
  11. I'm having a problem with the latest nLite disk I've made. Everything is working great, except I'm getting a BSOD after resuming from standby. I've never had problems before, even with nLite disks. I'm not sure, maybe it's something I've removed from the system. "A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated." "*** STOP: 0x000000F4 (0x00000003,0x85 (and so on)" My preset file is attached for reference. Any help in diagnosing this problem is appreciated. Last_Session.ini
