  1. How about this? In CMD mode, type "systeminfo" and click enter. This command will collect os information and bring all to you.
  2. how about this? In cmd mode, type "control userpasswords2", then click enter. In the panel pops up, select the user you intend to revise and reset its pwd. OR Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Local Security Settings, and find out if any restriction made to the admin pwd, do necessary updates and try to change pwd again.
  3. WOW, i think it might be caused by either Domain controller or group policy. - not sure at this moment, but I definitely heared this specific case in my memory. would you run gpedit.msc to check items to see if any restriction related? hope it can help.
  4. okie, I see your problem. You could redirect it manually with change related registry key. Firstly create a temp folder and redirect the profile folder to that, then reboot, after pre-customizaiton of new profile in this new profile folder, go back to registry and redirect it to real destination, which need to paste all prior profile files into.(doesn't include ones in temp folder.) sorry that i can not access my related doc to find out detailed registry key and steps as I am disconnected with corporate network. I hope can paste it out by following a couple days...
  5. I have downloaded a patch to upgrade my Pcanywhere from version 11.50 to 11.51. Download: http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/files/pca..._115_files.html This patch is created with Installshield, and I have tried following parameters, always I failed to remove the REBOOT alert. 1. C:\pca1151.exe /s /v" /qn" - failed. 2. C:\pca1151.exe /qn 3. C:\pca1151.exe -r -f1"%INST%\setup.iss" -failed and alert that harddisk have not enough space to extract files, though it's impossible. 4. C:\pca1151.exe /s /v" /qn REBOOT=Suppress" Could you guys help to specify how to remove it please? that would really help me a lot! thank you in advance.
  6. I know that you can setup a CA deploy server to fulfill your requests. However, it doesn't worth to do so.

    HELP!

Agree with lockedon, should be caused by abnormal deadlock of explorer.exe. Therefore, My suggestion is that End the process of explorer.exe, then do what lockedon said. Click on File Select New Task Type in explorer.exe
  8. It seems that your account has been kicked out from Local administrator group, try to add it back and then you can perform anything you want. Or check your Group Policy to find out whether any unexpected configuration has prevented such ado.
  9. Please verify your logon accounts have enough privilege to do such changes. As I also encountered such issue before, and I fianlly figured out that is because my account was removed from Local Administrator group by mistake. Good Luck!
  10. Hey Just now i have checked the folder again, How about right click on Accesssories, then Properties - Security, delete the restricked user in this area? NICE Or you could contact Deployment team in your business to run script thru Domain to get this
  11. Yes, this is also a good tool for profile transform. I got to use it in Feb. It seems that what you should pay attention is that: While executing certain copying command, verify if the English word "Everyone" is work on your PC, since I detected that in certain system like Dutch, They hae their own expression on this.
  12. I remember that in the Bios of some old mainboard, there will be a configuration like "Enable/Disable...Virus...", if you enable this, your system installation will be terminated. Hope this info can be helpful.
  13. Thank you However, what I want to do now is just to automatically enable it after loading completed. I don;t intend to rebuild a new image... that will need approval from my manager. thank you
  14. After loading my PC with my own image, I found that there is no Quick Launch bar by default - actually I know how to enable it manually. Just wonder whether anybody can let Quick Launch bar be activated by running certain commands or certain programs? In fact this maybe make my work more efficiency. Thank you in advance!
  15. Try this: Firstly, creat the destination account A and temp account B, add both of them into local administrator group. Secondly, log on as B, an RMB on My Computer - Properties - Advanced - User Profiles- Settings, then copy the administrator profile to aim account A. I think this will fulfill your requirement
