Hi, I tried the NCAB2.08 but at first when I ran it, it shows "system can not find path error" when it tries to extract files but then continues with the customization and after I answer all the Q's it creates a file only 85.0 KB? then if I try to run it gives "7-zip unspecified error". What could the problem be?
  5. Hello, I have the same problem... Before the switch /Q:A /R:N was working for me through the SVCPACK method. Now when I added the newest hotfixes in the 13th min it pops up the GDI+ window stating there are no MS Office installed and I have to click ok. Is there something new or some of the new hotfixes have caused a problem? Thanks

  9. Hi everyone, I am a newbie and I just decided to use Bashrat's newest release and update my version driver's pack 4... I chose method 2 and it updates the root directory ok and when I install the OS and it comes to the integration of the inf files before the first login, the Driver Signing policy turns on. I have to click "continue anyway" a million times. For 2 days I have been reading posts that could help but I did not find one with exactly this problem. Is it the presetup that has to be changed? Any ideas would be appreciated!
  10. Hey Junior, About the dvd's... I wasted quite a few of these myself until I finally got it to work. What I did is I followed the steps mentioned in your post quote but I stuck to the original wpi.cmd file. The only changes I made are instead of using WPI.ico file I just used the WIN51 because I was getting problems with the path Then I changed to CDROM installation The rest I pretty much left untouch up until here i changed the path to and VOILA! it worked as a magic. But remember that the folder extracted from the wpi.zip which is usually WPI is in the same root directory as I386 NOT IN I386 BUT NEXT TO IT so to say. I hope this helps!
  11. Well, I finally got it to work thanks to this forum but then not exactly the way I wanted it. Apparently this is the workaround for now. I had to copy the wpi.cmd to the %systemdrive% to be able to call the %cdrom%. Seems like the winnt.sif cannot recognize %cdrom%/wpi/wpi.cmd command. It can only work from %systemdrive%/wpi/wpi.cmd For detailed explanation how to do that you can check this forum post of derektm The only steps I changed was to set the to %%i:\win51If anyone finds a way to make winnt.sif to recognize the %cdrom% please PM me.

  13. Hi Ctwizzy, I do not think I understand exactly what you are trying to point out. Do you mean that when wpipath is set to %cdrom%\wpi anytime after that the %cdrom% points to e.g. D:\wpi? Anyway thank you for the input. Does anything in the code look weird? I am at a dead end. Everything seems to be ok to me but why can't it find a cd-rom letter and the wpi.cmd?
  14. Hello everyone, I pretty much read all of the run from cd in wpi and could not find a way to run wpi.cmd from the cdrom without copying it on the hard drive. Is there a way to do that? I burnt multiple dvds in testing now and everything is good up until the first login of XP. It just brings up a blank command prompt stays there for a while and gives me an error "%CDROM%\wpi\wpi.cmd path not found or something like that. Now I do have my WPI in the root along with win51 and I386. Here is my wpi.cmd @ECHO OFF REM Example, how to look for CDROM-drive.
