  1. I appreciate your input prathapml, atleast you added something useful. Maybe if Tarun could have given a suggestion rather than police my post where he has no right, then I may have not gotten so upset. I did not "Flame" him, rather I "told" him to do something useful. He is not a moderator and if a "rule" has gone un-noticed then let a moderator address the issue. Thats what "you" are for! Make that rule 7.ba. As far as it being a strictly "nVidia" issue... I ruled that out as I bought an ATi x800 Pro and to no avail -same thing. Yes, all drivers were (with DriverCleanerPro and then NFR) removed to prevent any collisions. I have tried ME, XP Home as well as XP Pro SP1/SP2. So, I kinda answered my own theory about it being a strictly "XP" issue. I have had it with this hole deal. Nothing seems to work, I am just so baffled. The ONLY thing left for me to do is to reinstall XP SP1 (which is intergrated already) and to install the drivers in different orders. There is nothing else to do that has not been done already. I will keep this post alive in case any one comes across this problem. -Dump this machine, forget it. I am just fed up with it. @ ripken: I though of that... but as prathapml stated its of no use. Only tells me that it works on those OS's and not Windows.
  2. er...maybe you should have read underneath the "Subject." It gave a "specific" issue. So instead of spamming my thread, find yourself something usefull to do instead of -reaching, cause thats what your doing, to point out something useless and of NO help to me nor any one else. Just because my avatar name says I am a "newbie" does not make me a "NOOB." Come talk to me when your a moderator or have something "legitmate" to correct me about for my future posts.
  3. OK let me explain this a little differently. I have changed EVERY PIECE OF HARDWARE in my system because of this. ITS NOT A HARDWARE ISSUE! Nothing is dirty and nothing is faulty, except the fact that I think the problem lies with in XP. I started with an AMD64 3700+ system and discovered the problem, I changed everything in my computer. In fact, it is a new computer nothing is in here that was in the AMD system. So that rules out hardware. It is either some sort of driver issue with Intel 875Chipset or XPs ability to control the AGP data rate. I noticed in the nVidia Control Panel that the optimal setting is 2x through XP. Is this the issue or is it a glitch in Microsofts fine software?
  4. I am just curious... as I post this in all the forums I join. I do it to see the diversity between people and what they listen to during there computing. Myself I am an electronic music fan. I am a HUGE electronic music fan. For those of you whom may not know what that is you may have heard it referred to as "techno." In fact techno is just a sub style of the music. If you think you havn't listened to it...think again. It's in ALOT of commercials as background music. Electronic music has more sub styles of one genre than any other form of music. This music is my only out in life. I get submersed in the beauty of it. Even though it is repetitive it takes one of great mind to create the story of the beat. Don't get me wrong I like other styles of music but prefer the electronic age. My favorites are Trance, Hard Trance, Hard House, Drum N Bass and some Techno. Just curious as to what other people that do the same thing's I do(such as people in this forum).
  5. I have stumpped the boey on this one. Its all brand new stuff, so nothing could possibly be dirty. I wonder if maybe there is a sequence to installing all the drivers. I know your suppose to install the chipset drivers first then all other system drivers but Im pretyy sure I have done it that way but is there another way of doing so. I heard someowhere that the Intel 875 chipset is very picky about this sort of thing. Problem is, is it all started with my AMD 64 system...then I moved over to Intel and it seems to still have the same issue. Oh well, I guess I will have to play on low settings. I have brought to a gaming store and it did the same thing there... so its not an interference issue if maybe thats what you were suggesting. Thanks again though.
  6. I have a water cooled system. I have the Zalman RST1, with a seperate resevoir. I have a Zalman CPU Waterblock cooling the CPU, a koolance WaterBlock cooling the GPU that I cant get to run at top speed, I have a Zalman GPU waterblock custom fit to the Northbridge controller and Koolance water bags cooling the 2 WD Raptor 74's. I have the Resevoir inside a small office refridgerator which keeps the waterchilled at a temp of about 43F. I have maybe 400 into all of it excluding the refridgerator and well worth it. The only fan in my machine is the Enermax fan. My Computer is completly quite. All you hear is the HD's platters spinning and heads moving. Is it worth it all? Most certainly!!! Specially if your an OverClocker and your at the mercy of heat. Not recommended if your not going to extremes. Unless you just want to have it.
  7. I have a watercooled system and no hardware in my machine goes over 45c underload. Yes, believe it...! I have DX9c and have used b, 8.1 and they all do the same thing. This is the strangest thind I have EVER encountered. Fore some strange reason, NO ONE can figure this out. It almost seems not possible!
  8. I have a brand new 1200va-670Watt UPS. Trust me when I say I have tried everything that has to do with power and swapping hardware. I swear its in XP.
  9. Ok, I am so hoping 1 of you have an answer that will help me. It has to do with my vid card. Problem is is it's not the card its self. So, I guess its a video issue. OK, when ever I use any 3D rendering I get what seem to be jittering. The rendering NEVER completely stops (laggs). So in other words I dont suffer from a lagging issue, in rendering high graphics the video becomes almost to blurry to play. It's not a gaussing issue and its not the monitor itself. After countless weeks and months of trying to figure this out I figured I would let someone look at it. My system requirements at the time were: Before: [PSU] Antec Neo 480W After: Enermax 550W [CPU] 3.2 Northwood SAME [Cooling]Zalman RST1 WtrCld SAME [Mobo] Asus P4C800-E Deluxe SAME [GPU] nVidia 6800 Ultra SAME [RAM] Corsair TwinX XMS 1024x4000 Corsair TwinX XMS LL PC3200 DDR500 3,4,4,8,8 DDR 400 2,2,2,5,4 [HD's] WD Raptor 74's 10,000RPM RIAD0 SAME Maxtor 250 UDMA SAME So after being told that my RAM -I DID NOT BELIEVE THEM- was bottlenecking my system I installed the low latency Corsair and it still did it. So that was a $600.00 mistake, $300.00 for this Co. to replace my PSU that didn't need it and to look at my computer. Then $300.00 more to replace my $380.00 RAM sticks that didn't need it. So, I figured I would try a 4th card in my computer. I went and bought the ATi x800 and installed that. Same thing! I have reformatted time and time again, tried different cards, different drivers, turning off fast writes, apreture settings, played with voltages, latency timings... Even have tried different mobos and CPU's... What the HECK!!!! I am left to assume the problem lies within XP. The bus speed is running at 8x, where it should be but something is bottlenecking the graphics. I can't figure this out and I am ready to blow this machine up and go buy an HP. Any one have any idea's?
  10. Hello all I just thought I would drop in and give a shout to all of my fellow geeks. As stated, I am a noob to this forum... Im pretty good with this microwave I have in front of me, but in case I need your help...Im glad I have all of you. I found this forum by accident, or maybe it was no accident at all. Anyway, this place is filled with a bunch of know how and you guys..er gals, are very gracious to contribute it all. I am a big time gamer from Ohio and I am glad to be here. Well, again hello!
  11. thanks a bunch! Pressing enter is really not that big o deal. I just dont like the switching of cd's. It gets to be a pain in the arse. Do we know exaclty what file the upgrade is looking for for compatibility?
  12. I have searched the forum only to find nothing on this topic. Maybe I didn't look hard enough or further enough back but hopefully some of you can help me out with this. I was wondering if it is possible, of course it is, to do an unattended install of an "Upgrade" version with out actually having to supply the "Verification CD" when prompted to do so. Is there something I can add to prevent this? I have both the XP Home Upgrade and Full version's of XP Professional SP1/SP2. I am trying to set up a CD of the Home ver. for a different machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please don't tell me to just install Pro... I don't want to do this.
