  1. I'm building an image/autoinstaller for my corporate conference room machines. it's fine and dandy that people bring USB flash drives in and plug them into the machine but for some reason my RIS+Bashrat's setup prompts for drivers + credentials for the USB flash drives unless the logged on user is an administrator. Some flash drives (the "secure" ones) also prompt for their drivers, and I was wondering if any one had a driver pack or a list of drivers I should roll into this installer so these drives work automagically. <3 ya bashrat! you've made my life easier already.
  2. The link in the inital post to the util appears to be broken... I'd love to get my fingers on this. I just went through the process for my 3ware sata card with the txtsetup.sif edits (wow, what a friggin hack) and it 07b bluescreened when it tried to start server 2003. I found this post and I'm going to be trying it with the OEMbootfiles method when I get back from lunch. I was thinking to myself "gee, I should write a utility that looks at drivers and spits out the right entries"... and lo I stumble on to this. With a broken link
  3. Here's the one for the Dell GX280/GX270 and (at least) Dimension 4550. http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...d=R78477&p=HTTP

  5. Nope, just straight up VLK XP SP2 slipstreamed media + a bunch of nLite crap and full update patches (not RyanVM - had problems with that)
  6. Haven't tested that pack. I was woohoo'ing about the fact that the support for the extra SoundMax stuff would be in the next pack. Personally, I made a driver pack for the Soundmax for the Dell GX280 and Dimension 4550 (they happily use the same driver) and that's been getting me by so far. Now I can just figure out mass storage pack doesn't see the Adaptec 2410SA on this dual opteron box, I'll be good. (BTW, I did check the factory driver's PCI IDs against what was in the txtsetup file - they match. wierd.)
  7. I made my own driver pack with the soundmax drivers for my dell optiplex GX280 and no more blue screen. The only Wierd thing was that a 'new hardware detected box' popped up midway through the setup... but not for the soundcard... FOR THE PLUG AND PLAY MONITOR. WTF? Edit: nevermind. Just saw the other thread announcing your support in the next pack. Good good!
  8. I just nLite integrated the whole list, and for some reason KB885835 didn't take. everything else works fine.
