  1. I apply mine during RunOnceEx by calling SecurityPolicy.cmd which contains: %SystemRoot%\system32\secedit.exe /configure /db c:\windows\options\image.sdb /cfg %SystemRoot%\options\PHC_WinXP.inf /overwrite /quiet This is part of a corporate image. I run this as the last step before I reboot the computer. All of my software installations are done as part of another RunOnceEx.cmd file that I call from cmdlines.txt which itself is called by sysprep.exe. The same command line works for Win2k, but Win2k ignores the /quiet switch and still prompts for permission to overwrite. HTH
  2. Do you have Remote Registry Service enabled? Do you have more than one computer on your workgroup? If yes to both, you should be able to power up both computers and edit the bad one's registry from the other PC. That is, if you know what you deleted and you need to fix!
  3. Does IE work properly under a different User Profile on your machine?
