  1. Hi, I use winnt.exe from a Dos PXE boot environment.
  2. Hi, Here are some of the lines from txtsetup.sif XPBalln.wav = 1,,,,,,,26,0,0,%XPBalln% XPBatCrt.wav = 1,,,,,,,26,0,0,%XPBatCrt% XPBatLow.wav = 1,,,,,,,26,0,0,%XPBatLow% XPBlkPop.wav = 100,,,,,,,26,0,0,%XPBlkPop% xpclres1.dll = 1,,,,,,,,3,3 XPCrtStp.wav = 1,,,,,,,26,0,0,%XPCrtStp% XPDef.wav = 1,,,,,,,26,0,0,%XPDef% XPDing.wav = 1,,,,,,,26,0,0,%XPDing% XPError.wav = 1,,,,,,,26,0,0,%XPError% XPExcl.wav = 1,,,,,,,26,0,0,%XPExcl% XPHdFail.wav = 1,,,,,,,26,0,0,%XPHdFail% luna.mst = 100,,,,,,,68,0,0,luna.msstyles metal_ss.dll = 1,,,,,,,78,0,0,shellstyle.dll blue_ss.dll = 1,,,,,,,69,0,0,shellstyle.dll class_ss.dll = 1,,,,,,,2,0,0,shellstyle.dll These are all files that were not renamed. However, when I manually rename the files everything is working again. Personally, I do not see anything strange here. I only added some hotfixes, nothing else.
  3. Hi, After i integrated some hotfixes, i have had several problems with for instance the "Windows XP Style" And also the default sounds in Windows XP. It looks like they are no longer renamed from the 8.3 notation to the normal filenames. For instance the file C:\WINDOWS\Media\XPDing.wav still exists when the installation is ready, but it should have been renamed to C:\WINDOWS\Media\Windows XP Ding.wav This is also the case with the file C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\Luna\luna.msstyles which is called Luna.mst after installation.
  4. hello, Isn't it LOCALCACHEDRIVE=C instead of LOCALCACHEDRIVE=C:\
  5. Hi, When i install Windows XP sp2 on a laptop (Maxdata 8100 IS) i receive an error at the 39 minutes fase during GUI setup: The file 'Asms' on Windows XP Professional CD-ROM is needed. Type the path where the file is located, and then click OK. I already copied the directory I386\ASMS from my netword installation directory to the laptop and after that the installation continues normally, but in the end I found out that it skipped a lot of files during the Copy-phase and the installation (RunOnceEx-part etc) does not finish correctly. I already installed lots of other computers from the same network directory, those all work fine. Anyone familiar with this ASMS problem? The laptop does have Bluetooth, can it be that this has something to do with the problem? Regards, Alexander
  6. Hi, I found the solution for the problem. I'm using winnt.exe, not winnt32.exe, winnt.exe does not support the /makelocalsource:all option. However it has got the option /2 which is equivalent to /makelocalsource:all So it works now, the tablet pc is installed nicely. Regards, Alexander
  7. Hi, I'm trying to install a TabletPC with my unattended Windows XP Pro installation. During the GUI-fase of the setup at minute 26 it asks for the file tpgwlnot.dll and searches for the directory c:\$win_nt$.~ls\cmpnents\TABLETPC\i386 But this directory is not present at the target machine. However, it is in place at my distribution-share. I am using a Tablet XP ProductID, so that's good. I found something on this forum about txtsetup.sif: [sourceDisksNames.x86] 1 = %cdname%,%cdtagfilei%,,\i386 2 = "%cd2name%","%cd2tagfilei%",,\cmpnents\tabletpc\i386 3 = "%cd2name%","%cd2tagfilei%",,\cmpnents\mediactr\i386 4 = "%cd2name%","%cd2tagfilei%",,\cmpnents\netfx\i386 This guy said i should change %cd2name%","%cd2tagfilei% to %cdname%,%cdtagfilei% I did that, but still the same result. Does anyone know what this %cd2tagfilei% means?, is this maybe a file that i can find on the root of CD2? Has anyone got ideas about how to solve this problem? Regards, Alexander
