  5. Hi ever since i built my home network more than a year ago there has always been a problem with my brother's pc been able to use the internet, i've tried different NICs and bought new cables and nothing seems to work. I was think perhaps with the cable going through a wall(dunno whats in the wall meanin cables etc) TV, Hi-Fi, PS2 and other electronic appliences close to his pc and therefor being close to the cable maybe hes getting interference and maybe an STP cable could possibly work better. anyone got any solutions? thanks Dan

  11. Networkin AD-HOC the SSIDs(name of the network it wants to join) must be the same, the channel numbers must be the same and the adapters must be configured to work in AD-HOC mode. With the wired one have u made sure that the NICs are working find buy using the loopback address? 127.0.0.1. Oh and you must make sure that the Classes of IPs are the same, Subnets are the same and the workgroup name is the same like MSHOME, WORKGROUP etc, could even be SKYWORLD. can't think of anything else atm if i think of anything else i'll post. thanks Dan
