  1. Could you share that vb6 application? Thanks
  2. I need something that will allow me to enter: - Path to executable - Switches for silent installation - Press OK - The program will appear in the list of applications Ideally it will be a portable executable that saves the settings in an ini file so that I'll be able to have it on a USB stick, with all the applications in the list. This way I'll be able to plug it on any computer, select the programs I want and press "Install Selected Software" Can this be done? Or does it exist? Thanks
  3. Hi, Is there a program that will work like the one in the picture below? But of course allow me the flexibility to add or remove any applications from the list I want? Thanks.
  4. So slipstreaming hotfixes makes more bad than good?
  5. How does nLite know which hotfixes are replaced by the new ones? Is this info contained in the new hotfixes?
  6. Currently, I am using a batch file to unattended install all hotfixes. The batch file searches a specified folder, and installs all *.exe files in that folder with the /q /n /z switch. When Microsoft releases new hotfixes, I just put them in that folder and the batch file takes care of everything. If some old hotfix is replaced by a new one I just delete it from that folder. This way the I386 folder is always clean and tidy, because no unneeded hotfixes have ever been installed in it after service pack 2. But what happens if I start using nLite to slipstream the hotfixes? Won’t nLite keep making the I386 folder bigger and bigger as new hotfixes get released? If a new hotfix replaces an old one what will nLite do? How will it know that the old hotfix has to be removed? Won’t it just leave it there and just install the new one too? I really want to use nLite to slipstream all the hotfixes to save me the time of installing them during the unattended installation, but if it’s going to keep making my I386 bigger and bigger, I prefer not to. Advice?
  7. wont this cause other problems? Isn't there a reason the file protection exists?
  8. Ever since I started using nlite to slipstream internet explorer 7 on my unattended dvd, when the windows installation finishes, the following message appears. Anyone else has this problem? Any ideas why?

  10. It seems to be OK. None of the services started, or were added in the registry.
  11. Thanks for the reply. Yes, they start even if you don’t install Nero Home. I never install it. The thing that troubles me is, what happens when auto it tries to delete these files and they are in use? Will it succeed? As soon as I try it I'll let you know.
  12. Hello, The following three processes run in the backround after Nero installation: NMBGMONITOR.EXE NMINDEXSTORESVR.EXE NMINDEXINGSERVICE.EXE Is there a way to remove them, or not even install them? An unattended way, maybe using the AutoIT script? They are not really required, and they mostly waste resources. Thanks
  13. The new version is working too
  14. Yeap. Seems to be working just fine now. Thanks
  15. This is the error message I get when trying to install Nero-7.10.1.0_eng_trial.exe using Nero71010.au3 I cleaned %WINDIR%\Temp\*.* and %TMP%\*.* before installation.

  19. You're kidding right? Is that supposed to help me in some way? Do you know how or not?
  20. I have already tried /HIDE, which installs it, but also starts the welcome wizard that I don't want to start. And I have also tried /HIDE /DONT_START_APPS /NO_WELCOME /NO_AVGW_STARTUP /QUIT_IF_INSTALLED which doesn't even install it. How do I install it silently? Thanks
