So time passed by, theres no word from 343, no word from EasyAnticheat or EpicGames and in the mean time i reinstalled my entire operating system. It turns out, that EasyAntiCheat simply does not support Windows 7 anymore and causes the crash. I can not explain it in any other way this must be the only reason why its always crashing at the startup. Its also definitely due to easyanticheat, as, again, the game launches perfectly fine in the "easyanticheat disabled" mode, but then i cant play multiplayer, which is like the main reason i bought mcc in the first place So yeah RIP

After updating the game on December 19th 2022 this issue started occurring. When starting the game normally, it instantly crashes with the error message "EasyAntiCheat has stopped working" The game doesnt start at all, not even the loading screen. When starting the game from steam and selecting "Start MCC (No EasyAntiCheat)" the game works perfectly fine. Game file integrity check (Steam) and OS system file integrity check (sfc /scannow) all passed multiple times. Game was reinstalled multiple times already and its always up to date EasyAntiCheat was also reinstalled manually multiple times, it still didnt work please help

i am using windows 7 for basically most of my life. Back when it was still the newest and all the way up until now. In the end all we can do is extend its lifespan by probably 2025 at most. My best guess is that after that windows 7 will no longer be suitable for most people as their daily driver OS Nothing lasts forever so enjoy it while you still can

does anyone know if easyanticheat still works on Windows 7? MCC, a game which used to work for me, but after the december 2022 update it for some reason stopped working for me and i still dont know why, nor how to fix it. On the steam page it still states windows 7 as being the minimal system requirement, however 343 does not provide any tech support anymore for Windows 7 users just stating, that they should upgrade to a newer version of windows. The game works when you start it without easyanticheat though edit: MCC being "Halo the Masterchief Collection"
