  1. I'm using a System DSN to connect to the Access Database (MS Office 2003), and then in Dreamweaver it automatically adds in the code when you select the DSN
  2. I'm developing a website with Dreamweaver CS3 using ASP and an Access database. I'm testing it locally on my Vista pc (Vista Home Premium). The pages display fine until i put the code in to access the database and i get an error: "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error". I know that the access to the database work, cos i can pull the information while working with Dreamweaver. I've ported the whole website as is over to an XP PC and it works fine, with changes at all. This seems to me as though it's a permissions problem, but i'm not sure where to look....
  3. It seems that this problem is def a u/n p/w problem with the proxy. all the links i've followed relate to a IE6 problem and most users install an update which seems to resolve their problem. I'm obviously not using IE6 so the update wont work/not relevant. I dont have access to our proxy so i'll have to chat to the IT dept... Thanks anyway...
  4. I've connected my laptop to my company network that uses a proxy for the internet. I can browse the internet after i enter my username and password, but Windows Update doesn't work and returns Error Code 80072f78. I've googled this error code, but most people seem to be having this problem with IE6. There doesn't seem to be any mention of the fact that its the proxy that could be causing the problem. I know that all ports on the proxy are open Any suggestions? - i'm using Vista Home Premium
  5. Dont you wish some software vendors would use decent progress indicators when installing or downloading software? Take IE 7 for instance - when you install it, the progress indicator just scrolls along without you actually knowing how long is left on the installation. Why bother having one of it's not going to do what its been designed for - telling you how long you have left??
  6. Here's the Graphics Card i would get..... ASUS EAX1900XT/2DHTV/512 Radeon X1900XT 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail about $350 from New Egg....
  7. I've just installed an nVidia 7600GS and i get an error on the WDM video capture device: nVidia WDM Video Capture (universal) - Failed to start error 10 Anyone know what gives with this and how to fix it. I've done the usual thing of downloading the latetst drivers etc, even for the wdm.... Thanks
  8. I've got 10 PC's on a network, all connected properly. One of the Pc's has a connection to the internet via a modem(broadband not dial-up). I've shared the internet connection and here's my problem.... The shared pc gets its IP address of 192.168.0.1 OK The rest of the PC's don't pick up their IP so i have to set it manually. If i ping an internet address (196.25.etc) from any PC i get a reply, but if i ping a www address i get nothing. The gateway ip on all pc's is 192.168.0.1 and so is the DNS IP What could be the problem? I've had the modem connected via a USB cable and connected directly to the switch, with the same result. If i try a broadband router will this solve my problem?
  9. Yeah let me know please..... Ghostrider... can you let me know how to setup your option too please...
  10. We're running SBS 2k3 with Exchange 2k3 and some of the users need to access their e-mails from the internet i.e at home, not the office. How do you setup Outlook to access the server?
  11. Checked the "manage passwords" section - Blank Logs didn't show anything of interest either.... I've just fixed it!!! I reset the password from the server to exactly what it was and made sure that it was set to "not expire" and "user cannot change..." and now the user can login..... Bizare
  12. I have a server running Small Business Server 2k3 and a workstation running XPsp2. Everything has been running fine until about a week ago the user was unable to logon to the domain on their workstation. The error received stated that either the username or password was wrong. The user is able to logon to other workstations with no problems. The only account that works on the workstation is the admin acc, both local and domain. Connectivity with the server exists and i'm using the workstation now on this forum. I've checked the user acc's on the pc and even added the user as a domain user with no change. Can anyone shed some light as to why the user cant logon to their own pc.
  13. I've just setup an SBS server and my user login scripts aren't working. It's simple with the usual net use command for adding a mapped drive: net use f:\\[servername]\[foldername] I keep getting the same result on all users that the path cannot be found. If you connect to the server and then map the folder manually it works. Can anyone shed any light on this??
  14. the .dmp file is the dump file and the .xml file contains all the data about the problem windows just experienced. Without reading the xml file nobody can help you. These are std warnings from XP, it probably also said something on the lines of send the error report to microsoft???
