I even have an 1030 and it still lags with max settings (any other windows version works fine)
Uh? You talkin about gaming performance? Of course it lags on maximum settings, you're using GT 1030. Can't really run anything, maybe CSGO 90FPS?

I'm on ltsc 2019 as my main os (not windows 11)
I guess you should update your description or whatever it is then?

windows 11 is still not quite ready yet (it still a little bit of issue to it) and I will stick with the ltsc builds of windows 10 until this fixed or move to linux permanently someday (as a backup plan)
Windows 11 will never be "ready". no one wants to use 11, just stick with ltsc release (seems like Windows 11 Home x64 is your main os lol).

I've used windows 8.1 before on my main computer and it runs really slow on a fresh install every single time and updates take forever to do so I plan to stick with windows 10 (ltsc) until ar least 2029 then after that probably linux (or a newer ltsc release)
Maybe consider upgrading your hw? Runs like a dream on machines with SSD drives.

windows 10 is officially in the "legacy" windows category which means it will slowly get harder to find things that work on it
What ? It's officially supported ? Legacy ? 😂

I just found this today https://msfn.org/board/topic/184614-minecraft-will-still-work-on-781/#comment-1242324 minecraft will unofficially still support 7/8/8.1
Just for Windows 7, they'll still support 8/8.1.

Doubt it , official launcher might drop support for 7/8 ( not sure when tho ). 3rd party launchers should work fine

Is there any way in how to update OneDrive on Windows 8.1? The Explorer always shows the old OneDrive Icon, unlike Windows 7, who can use the latest one. I always get errors that I should use the Build-In App, if I wanna use a personal account
Use Business version and apply the registry tweak. You can find it above.

It doesn't say anything
Then... don't know what could be wrong. You could try to disable built-in OneDrive, maybe that helps. I have nothing else to recommend. Sorry

How do you get rid of the yellow warning sign over Onedrive in File Explorer?
It shouldn't be there when using Business version of OneDrive. Maybe it's built-in one?

Thank you so much!!! This is working!
Great, that's the method there.
But it is very characteristic of Microsoft, that technically everything works, but you first have to be smart enough to figure out how to make the function usable becouse they dont want you to use it.
Haha, good to know ! Enjoy

Would you send me a screenshot how you did it?
When i try, i get the notification that it is not possible with private Microsoft-Accounts. --> Screenshot (German): https://imgur.com/a/3gIgzly
Or have I misunderstood something?
Apply this registry tweak
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OneDrive] "EnableDownlevelInstallOnBluePlus"=dword:00000001

Keep using Windows 7 if I have to.

On my brothers Microsoft-Account the In-Build OneDrive App in Windows 8.1 still works on all his devices, as he told me.
So I think it really depends on the Microsoft Account. Maybe they will deactivate the Accounts "one by one"?
Does anyone know any alternative options for those whose In-Build OneDrive App isn't working anymore?
Use Business version of OneDrive. Works fine for me

SSDs are cheap nowadays. i7 3770 could be picked up for ~40 EUR. For some reason , DDR3 is kinda expensive here lol. Imo, not really worth to upgrade your machine , already 10 yo platform. Ryzen combos (CPU+MOBO+RAM?) can be picked up pretty cheap.
