Anyone can help me with symbols in WinDbg?
I have a little problem in one of my computers - I need to debug Hardware-related BSODs, but WinDbg gives me a message:
Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\ntoskrnl.exe, Win32 error 0n2
And gives me the Bucket ID WRONG_SYMBOLS
I don't want to uninstall Extended Kernel
I'm using WinDbg version 6.11.0001.404

Well, now I have kernel installed on HP HDX 16 laptop from 2008 (On-board Realtek card). The best thing in this laptop is that it came with pre-installed Vista x64, so I can use the original Vista from recovery partition with Extended Kernel after installing all updates (thanks to Legacy Update for getting Windows Update service working again.

Onboard, but win32 mentioned that bug when he released March 6 build, and fixed it in March 9 one.

Vice versa, but in March 6 build, audio in Chromium-based browsers doesn't work, but according to your screenshots in topic, you're using Firefox, so it's not big deal in your case.

I have a little problem with Spotify, on 6th March version of kernel, last version for Windows 7 and 8.1 worked fine, but on 9th March version it's not starting, I tried even with NT 6.1 spoofing and without it, and with ChromiumFix, nothing helps

Other program (game) that doesn't work with Extended Kernel is GTA Vice City. It gives the Unhandled Exception c0000005 at address 00a12cfe, anyone had a solution to this? I tried placing all vanilla WOW64 DLLs in gta-vc.exe.local and enabling DLL redirection, but it didn't work.

Other bug: Media Player is totally broken. It crashes when I want to add folder to library.
And next bug: I can't install Office 2007, setup crashes instantly after clicking "Install Now"

I think alternate DNS is a best solution for ad blocking on Vista, but unfortunately it doesn't work on YouTube.
By the way. @win32 when will you work with secur32.dll to get Edge working on Vista?

Yup, I noticed that Spotify is not working too. And other funny bug is fact that sometimes Firefox launches "by itself". Anyone noticed this?

I've installed the x64 version and everything seems to work fine
Except of Windows Installer. It still crashes when I try to install most MSI-depending apps.

Unfortunately when I try to install this update installer says that Windows modules installer must be updated (my system is fully patched to 2017, and have installed the 3 SHA-2 updates (KB4039648-v2, KB4493730 and KB4474419), do I need to install any additional patches to install that 2021 update/fix Windows Installer?
Update: My friend reported the same issue (same system setup as mine). @win32 I think you can take a look at it.

Hello, I have a little problem with latest kernel release. Everytime I want to install any MSI-depending app (no matter if it's supported natively or with extended kernel), Windows Installer keeps crashing. I din't have this problem on previous releases of kernel.

Anyone tried to install Vista on Broadwell-based laptop?
I think it might be interesting, but I know that most drivers won't work, even with Extended Kernel as of today.

Is there any version of Catalyst/Radeon Software compatible with R9 300 series with Vista support?

Will next kernel update bring the missing functions to Secur32.dll required to run Edge? And is there any progress with 32-bit libraries?

Is there any workaround for Netflix on Chrome 86? Does it need any codecs like Firefox?

The solution is to make a folder named sidebar.exe.local in Program Files\Windows Sidebar and place your original ole32.dll in there
Thanks, it works.

[WIP] Windows Vista Extended Kernel
in Windows Vista

Is project still alive? It's already 9 months since latest version was released. I want to see fixed sidebar and experience index, but win32 does not spoil any news about new release too.
