  1. Just a final bit of info...2 more small Office updates came down yesterday and they installed fine. So just for the heck of it, I 'unhid' the previous Office update, tried it and it installed OK too. So maybe there was some sort of sequence sensitivity involved or something, dunno...but everything is caught up again.
  2. Yes, the failure posts there but there is no error code. I've got it safely tucked away [ "hidden" ] and I'll try it again in a month in case MS has done any tweaking to it. Thank you again...
  3. All it does is post that normal "Failed to install" phrase. And when I double click the highlighted phrase there's nothing unique under it. ( just the normal "This change if for fixes and security, blah, blah, blah ) I appreciate that you took time to offer some help...I'll just "hide" this thing for a while, thank you again.
  4. OK, and just to be sure I've been clear: 1) I'm running Win 10 Pro, not XP; 2) This update just came to me yesterday, 10/02/19...not last year; Update for Microsoft Outlook 2010 (KB4475604) 32-Bit Edition
  5. Thanks for the reply... Yes, many MS Office 2010 32-Bit updates have been installing fine for a good couple of years now. Seemed odd that this one didn't and searching the Internet ran across this ( MSFN ) forum, thought I'd ask. Saw a few references of this update related to XP, so wondered if that might be it. Trying to dicpher event logs is a little above my pay grade...couldn't tell anything from them. Not having any problems for which this change is supposed to deal with, so guess I'll just 'hide' it and maybe try it again in a month. Thanks

  7. Good morning...would appreciate clarification on a quick question if someone could: Running Win10 Pro 64-Bit but still using Office2010 32-Bit / Outlook2010-32-Bit Received routine notification for an update: Update for Microsoft Outlook 2010 (KB4475604) 32-Bit Edition Went ahead and allowed it to install, but it failed, gave no indication why. So I downloaded it manually and attempted to install it manually, but it also failed, no indication why. Wondering if this update is specifically limited to WinXP and fails because I'm running Win10 Pro? Thanks
