tried 20200530 build and no problem here, and it crashes since 20200606.

I'll need more time for debugging and resolve this.

Big thanks to you, Roy,  Guess that several other download managers could be affected as they are nested in the about:downloads command.

    Looking forward...

    Download Manager (S3)
There's also a forum for it, 39 pages on mozillazine:

      Thanks a lot, Siria!

I did test this in the latest NM27-SSE release. The browser crashes unless you disable the "replace download page" option.

And that would render the main "attraction" quite useless.

So, something must have happened under the browser's hood since the April 3rd version that forces the immediate crash.

As we both don't kow what it is, it's your turn Roy to help and repair here please...

  3. OK, folks, big thanks for your remarks. But it does not solve that issue.
Here's my proposal: In the attachment you'll find that "Download Manager (S3) 4.13" add-on (English locale only) in question.
So may you please test it if possible in the latest NM 27 release https://o.rths.ml/palemoon/palemoon-27.9.7.win32-git-20200627-40464b8c6-xpmod.7z
(preferably without a fresh profile) and please report back if the browser will crash immediately upon calling "about:downloads" (Ctrl+J) command.
    I'm anxious to know...
    Thanks.

it works fine in clean profile.

did you try deleting StartupCache folder in your profile and start browser again?

That folder will be automatically emptied by CCleaner everytime the browser is closed.
Regarding a "clean profile", I made countless adjustments/modifications in "about:config" and won't lose them.
So this would be a problem...
    What to do now??

    Hi Roy,

for a couple of your releases, "about:downloads" (Ctrl+J) seems to be partly broken. I use the add-on "Download Manager (S3) 4.13" (based on the well-known "Download Status Bar")
as my dowload manager of choice. It's my most important add-on and really indispensable to me. So when I call up the Ctrl+J command, the browser immediately crashes everytime.
Last working build without problems was: https://o.rths.ml/palemoon/palemoon-27.9.7.win32-git-20200404-842aa7563-xpmod.7z
Please look into this issue. Thanks.

    alright fixed. https://github.com/roytam1/palemoon27/commit/355ec2cc2e0d266664bc743c532bb0f8f0e54d35

and will be included in next build.

if you need an urgent fix, download https://github.com/roytam1/palemoon27/raw/355ec2cc2e0d266664bc743c532bb0f8f0e54d35/toolkit/modules/ResetProfile.jsm and replace [root folder]\omni.ja\modules\ResetProfile.jsm with downloaded one.

Additionally, the "Move tab(s) feature" is completely broken, too.

    Hi simonsat,

could you please provide the German lang-pack for the recent 27 build (palemoon-27.9.7.win32-git-20200314), too??

And could you please tell us how to modify the langpack exactly so we can do it ourselves.

    Big thanx :)

    Cheers!

  8. Hi Roy!

I'm afraid that latest New Moon Version: 27.9.7 (32-bit) (2020-02-01) breaks Troubleshooting Information (about:support) completely.
Extensions/Graphics info don't show up, 'Show Profile Folder' fearture doesn't work etc..

May you look into this issue, please.

Second, get 'Tab Mix Plus and uBO might be making New  Moon run slowly' spoiler.
    What does that mean...

Big thanks to you for regulary updating the XP-builds anyway :)

    Cheers,

    bernd

  9. Hi roytam!

First off, HUGE thanx for providing an updated working web-browser for any hardcore XP user ;)

Alas, there are two problems I've encountered recently.
Firstly, by typing "about:support" I'll get this error-code:

    XML-Verarbeitungsfehler: Nicht-definierte Entität Adresse: jar:file:///C:/Programme/Pale%20Moon/omni.ja!/chrome/toolkit/content/global/aboutSupport.xhtml Zeile Nr. 166, Spalte 15:
                  &aboutSupport.appBasicsServiceWorkers

This error may be introduced by implementing about:serviceworkers and adding
    the files "aboutServiceWorkers.js" + "aboutServiceWorkers.xhtml" to the omni.ja file

    Please see here:

    New New Moon 27 Build!

    32bit https://o.rths.cf/palemoon/palemoon-27.9.6.win32-git-20190810-18084d9cc-xpmod.7z

repo changes since my last build:
    - import change from rmottola/Arctic-Fox:
     - Bug 1112469 - Part 1: Implement an XPCOM service responsible to trigger daily updates of service workers; r=nsm (74f735500)
     - Bug 1133601 - Implement about:serviceworkers, r=ehsan (e21767ec1)
     - Bug 1041339 - ServiceWorkers: Update implementation based on clarification of force-refresh. r=nsm (484675660)

Last working build is: 32bit https://o.rths.cf/palemoon/palemoon-27.9.6.win32-git-20190803-23551d191-xpmod.7z

Secondly, clicking the Google-Apps button (top right corner) of Google homepage gives me an error report: There's a problem loading the apps-list. Try again...
It always worked flawlessly until several weeks ago.

May you look into these issues, please.

    Big thanx and cheers,

    bernd
